After doing some last minute work, I finished my entry:

Warhammer RPG Heroes

I plan on taking one more photo, but here's a place holder for pic #5 in case I can't get to it in time:

Going to the wire on this one. No way the other 2 guys from the marine squad are getting done (they are still bare primer) These are gaunts 3 and 4, the first 2 are waiting to be based.

Still need to do all the touchups and highlighting, plus decals and bases. But all the washes are done (except on the rifle arms, need to catch up on those).

Nice work on the array of characters, KidCthulhu. I can see how they would be more interesting to paint than the uniform troops you gave try at first.

Thanks, Geifer! It started off as a "Hey, I have a Kislev model and a spare spear hand that would make a good version of [redacted]'s character" and went on to "What models do I have to make everyone else?"

Thank you!

Got them finished, and with a couple of days to spare... which is just as well, as I've got to work all weekend.

cheers,
Michael

(Pics seem a bit huge - if they're too big, let me know, and I'll try shrinking them a bit!)

those are so good Lovejoy.
Imagine if they were metal models!

I'll get in a modern tabletop take with my first dozen of front liners.

I've officially finished two of my 'legion' of skaven. Only 35 more to go...

Mostly, on my phone.

So... I changed my mind.

Legions of The Hand and SHIELD! I took the notion to do them. I was definitely inspired by some of the ways folk interpreted the contest to tackle it a different way, so these are my entry for this month, rather than the enforcers.

Hand Ninjas. Hi-ya, and so on.

Maria Hill and SHIELD agents. I know there's a lot of hate for the rope to nowhere but I'm a fan.

Nick and the Agents. Grunts are great!

I'm actually more sold on the Hand as a faction than SHIELD.

So there we go.

Done with the paint, just need to base and decal. That might run into tomorrow my time. Might needs a slight extension, not sure how the time zone math works out.

Probably falling back on my skeletons, sadly and didn't even get over the six model limit:

Doubt I'll get better photos done so likely final:

So many great entries so far. Especially the Stormcast shields and the their armor are so amazing.

As for me, instead of the "legion" of three I had planned, it's now only one He just clears the path with his blunderbuss for the legions of Cawdor that will follow

Temp pics, hope to get some better ones tonight, but we'll be off for a day trip soon and might not get better pics in:

Done.

Legions of the Emperor’s finest vs. endless legions of horrors from beyond the galaxy. Or at least a snippet of them.

I was hopeing to get the full 5 man marine squad done, and the 8 gaunts I have primed and ready, but that just didn’t happen. Oh well. Next month is going to just be a single model, so hopefully I can catch up.

Marines are the back half of the stalker bolt rife squad for my company. The guy with the pistol could step up and be an acting sarge if I needed 2x5 man squads, he’s got some hallmarks, but not the main one I use (gold chest eagle vs. grey/silver)

Gaunts are part of the rescue drop, so are not as cleaned up as I’d like. I went over them a little before priming, but it’s a lot harder to get mold lines off of built gribblies. But they are now ready to join the swarm. They should bring me to 37 out of the 70 termagaunts I have plans for in this paint scheme.

Another fun (if deadline hugging) month everyone!

Some nice entries so far!

One more coat of varnish to go and I'll be done, should still be the 31st in my time zone at least when they are ready for photos, but if all else fails I have some photos from immediately before varnishing I can throw up pretty fast.

Health issues popped up again and severely limited my ability to paint. I managed to finish 1 model but let's be honest, I know it sucks. Back of a 40 man unit sucks. Feels almost insulting to post it compared to some of these great looking models but there's nothing more I could do. The model doesn't take a wash very well and could do with some more highlights at a minimum but that's for another day. At least I finished the challenge like I said and that's what mattered to me this month.

If possible, I’d like to upload tomorrow evening; I’ve got almost all of my models done apart from the bases on about half of them and I need time for the Astrogranite to set!

I've put my paintbrush down now and will get some better pic done tomorrow, here's a poor quality one as a placeholder

Sorry for the poor proof picture. I got too excited when I picked up the kit the other day and built and dove into painting it almost immediately before snapping. So here's a box and then the airbrush basecoats!

There's nothing insulting about getting paint on your models and doing as best as circumstances allow. Like you said, you got something done and that's what matters.

Very much this. This guy started the month unpainted, now he's ready for the tabletop. That's a win in my book.
