well I have just read the first two pages and the last page and I was shocked and awed by your painting talents on page 1 I was feeling overdosed on awesome by mid way through page 2! Is it okay that I hate you a little now? your first mini's are better than most of mine and I've been painting modeling on and off for about 14 years.... guess it's about time I read more tutorials

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Just seen the power weapons on the S. Guard, been debating what colour to do mine for ages, consider the blue stolen. Wanted to see what it looked like so thanks!! Nice contrast.

Any chance of a pic with the whole force now?

absolutely amazing
if this is really your first army then you are a genius when it comes to painting 40k
you should apply for a spot on 'Eavy Metal
you're certainly good enough for it

Glory to the Twelfth! Glory to Angron!

‎"Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls. The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does. That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

so, out of curiosity, are you done with your blood ravens for a while? or is your blood raven force finished? ive recently started building my blood raven vanguard veteran squad using the winged jet packs off of the blood angel sanguinary squad... terribly expensive though

Apparently 'Eavy metal painters do not get payed as much as you would think. The real money for painting miniatures comes from commissions where you can charge a reasonably good price.

You are too good for 'Eavy metal anyway Roleplayer Those sang guard put the GW ones to shame!

@kennyalhavg- Have you got the winged packs off a bitz site? I am sure it would be much cheaper to do an army with them that way.

nope, my blood ravens are true scale, so Im using the sanguinary squad with IG heads as part of my ordo xenos force acting as a cool inquisitorial looking substitute for a howling banshee squad since those torsos and legs are a lost cause for scaling up

Hey all.

Just a post to say I am alive.

Apologies for the lack of posts. I have been painting but havent had time to do photos. Lot of bad family issues at the moments with my parents going through a very ugly divorce.

So just havent had the time/motivation to maintain my blog.

I will try and do some more pictures soon.

Anyway thought I'd let you all know I am still around

Good luck with your family I know how hard it is to maintain anything when stuff like that is going on. But what I wanted to say is i've read the last 42 pages in 2 and a half hous damn you! I wanted to stop I did but your amazing work just kept pulling me back for more. Your work is incredible and has actually inspired me to spend more time on my IG. I would before only spend about an hour on most of my models and they would have a decent table top quality but on my recent commissar i spent over 5 hours! So damn you again inspiring me to spend more time on my IG I dream about painting now. Which was incredible to me because as I said before I don't spend that much time on my IG and he turned out great. I can't wait to see more.

I always arrive a day late and a dollar short on these threads.
I have to say, I really enjoyed looking at your whole blog. Will certainly be subscribing.
A couple of questions from various points.
Where did you get all those rivets for your Baal Predators?
Some of your Sanguinary Guard look metallic for sure, but is this latest one NMM?
You're a stellar painter it's no surprise to see you winning & qualifying so much!
I would love to see tutorials from you, is that ever going to happen?

I have the photos done for several tutorials.....just need to get around the writing words to go with them. Atm I am using all free hobby time to get my army done for adepticon, dont really have much time for much else until its over.

All my Sang guard are painted in a style I call True NMM. Which is using NMM highlighting theories with actual metallic paints

True NMM?... isn't the whole point of NMM to use non metallic colours to achieve the metallic effect? hence the name NON-metallic metal.. to me it looks as though you are just highlighting using metallic colours.

Too many armies to count now.. mainly all 40k and AoS

True NMM might be a bit of an oxymoron given your technique... perhaps something like "true metallic metal" might be a more apt term.

A close-up of something that illustrated your technique might help.

Dear lord you are a God send. I'm starting a Doom Legion army so this will hopefully evolve them beyond the mere boltgun/badab black of most other all metallic chapters.
