Was looking over the new models in the Dark Eldar army section and after looking at Drazhar I noticed they changed his description up a bit. He was referred to as being "taller and more lithe" than other Incubi. And his weapon(s) name has been changed from the Disemboweler Blades to "demiklaives".
Not much but I wonder if that means the effects will change... (okay well that's a given)

According Jes original sketch, they have "shifting features, sometimes no mouth or eye, obscure by hair."
I guess some of the other models must have a mouth but are eyeless; it might represent the vast amount of warp energy flowing through their bodies and mutating them constantly, though not radically due to their natural resistance.

Wow, I'm late.
Those models are really nice looking. A lot of people say the Raider looks weird, but I actually like the design a lot. Seems nice and "unnatural." It's villainous, but it's not just covered in spikes/skulls. Congrats, DE fans!

Well, I've officially taken the plunge:
Codex
1 Archon
1 Wych Squad
2 Incubi Sets
2 Warrior Squads
4 Raiders
2 Reaver Jetbike Squads
I'll probably order 3 ravagers and some Mandrakes when they release as well.

I really like the Urien mini. I normally avoid metal models now, but I'll have to get this one. Compare the way they've done his skin mask with the Archon from the original range to see how far the DE have come.
As a couple of people have observed, the Mandrakes are very derivative of WoW (it's mostly the long white hair and blank faces), but if Blizzard was an inspiration for the new DE than that's not a bad thing. Anything that gets them away from the crude S&M outfits of the previous version is an improvement.

Well I think Urien has always had that skin mask. What I notice about him the most is his ears. But I agree the old Archon model was horrendous.

Granted I've not played WoW for awhile, but what in that game has long white hair and blank faces? The only thing that I can think of that the Mandrakes are derivative of would be faceless Drow with Illidan's tattoos.

Yeah, I think it's just the Klavex that can have a Demiklaive. Edit: Incubi have Klaives, not Demiklaives - it's posted on GW's blurb about them.
And as soon as I noticed the pre-orders were up (6:30 in the morning on 10/05), I clicked Add to Cart on the Codex. I won't be playing DE, but I will certainly need to know how to bring their sails burning to the ground all around me.

While all these new models are very impressive I must admit I'm a bit depressed they haven't shown any hint of new jungle trees. It just isn't a proper DE release without some of those somewhere.

If you can get them in a webstore by one third of the retail price... the choice is clear
However I do about 17000€ per year, and I consider myself lucky given the situation. That's about 24000$AUD. If you do the maths I think we are in a quite similar point with the prices.
I can buy in Maelstrom a 19'50€ DE warriors unit for 15€.

I love that new shot of the Raider looking at it from the front end. That's a really impressive profile (er, what do you call a profile from the front?).
Urien Rakarth - I like that his model exists, but even if I did play DE I probably wouldn't get it. I've never been interested in Haemonculi, but he finally takes it in a direction that is more exciting than "lumpy old men with syringes".
Mandrakes - As someone who has done a couple of martial arts that actually use Hakama, I'm skeptical of their inclusion conceptually. But their execution really can't be argued with.
Hellion - I'm trying to figure out what I don't like about it. I think basically it's a set of really fantastic bits that just aren't fit together well. There's nothing wrong with the skyboard, the weapon is ace, and that belt-hook is a sweet touch. The arms are a bit muscly, but not as bad IMHO as has been made out. The problem is the rider's posture- the rider doesn't look like they are standing on a floating platform, they don't look like they're holding a weapon with intent to actually use it, there's no sense that they're looking at anything in particular and they don't look like they're in motion at all. The whole thing may as well be a marble statue firmly rooted to the ground.
But then luckily, if the Hellions are plastic then this problem is easily solved. A bit of repositioning will easily make a dynamic model out of this.
And if they are plastic, then I forsee that skyboard being adapted to many craftworld eldar vehicle/jetbike conversions.
Ravager - Those side turret mounts look dangerously flimsy, but you just can't deny the awesome bulk of its profile (again, from the front?) The Raider base is looking more and more to me like the kit that can do no wrong.
