There are some general mentions of various Legions in the fluff, but nothing all that specific about the Death Guard.
I'd suspect, given the usual order that 40K RPG books arrive in, that there there will eventually be a Legion-style supplement.
Now THAT is the book I'm waiting for!
Though to be honest, the Most Loyal of All Legions is probably going to show up in an 'good guy' book.
Right?

I can say with all honestly that I know nothing about any upcoming Black Crusade 'Legion' releases, so anything I say is pure speculation. And when I say that the order of Black Crusade releases will likely be:
1. Core Rulebook
2. GM Kit
3. Three part adventure book
4. Player's Guide/GM expansion book
5. Setting/background expansion book
... it's only because that's the exact same pathway the other three games have taken. So it's more of an educated guess rather than my usual "I know something you don't know but NDA's keep me silent" shtick.

I am the law!!!! FFG wrote:Justice in His Name Announcing Book of Judgement, a supplement for Dark Heresy "There are no depths which we may fly above, no chasm we may bridge. It is our duty to fall into the pits, and there drag the unworthy before Judgement." –Arbitrator Linger The Calixis Sector is plagued with heretics, recidivists, and the unworthy...and they all dwell beneath the faithful servants of the God-Emperor, eroding the backbone of the Imperium’s war machine. Whether it is a planetary noble skimming off the top, or a seditious terrorist planning the destruction of an entire Hab-block, it is the Adeptus Arbites who bring them to judgement. Fantasy Flight Games is pleased to announce the upcoming release of Book of Judgement, a supplement for Dark Heresy! Book of Judgement is a guide to crime and punishment in the Calixis Sector, and provides a powerful resource for Dark Heresy campaigns that feature Imperial Law as a story foundation. This detailed supplement contains new rules, backgrounds, alternate careers, and equipment for playing Acolytes with legal authority or a criminal past, and provides players with information about the Adeptus Arbites’ mission to bring order to the Calixis Sector. Game Masters of all experience levels will find expanded Investigation rules and a new adventure, Jurisdiction, that plunges the Acolytes into a conflict between three of the Imperium’s most powerful organisations. A Council of Judges For more on Book of Judgement, here’s a word from Dark Heresy’s lead developer: I count myself extremely lucky in having worked with the team responsible for Book of Judgement. In addition to such veteran talents as Graham Davey and Charles May, the group was joined by Matthew Farrer, author of the Shira Calpurnia novels from Black Library. It was a great pleasure to dive into the Adeptus Arbites of the Calixis Sector with the assembled team of writers and I can’t wait for this book to be in the hands of players. We worked tirelessly to stuff this book full of useful tools for GMs and Players alike. All the usual suspects are here: new Cell Directives, Alternate Career Ranks, Backgrounds, and, of course, tons of background information on the precincts of the Lex Calixis. A chapter focused purely on the creation of compelling mysteries distills over fifty years of combined GM experience, offering exciting ways to craft your own mystery and drive a game session forward through the players’ actions. We even included Jurisdiction, a full adventure focused on the overlapping interests of three Imperial factions. One of the pleasures of creating a book like this is getting to truly delve into the ancient histories of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Games Workshop has been crafting this game world for over two decades, which provides a wealth of information. Having an opportunity (or a responsibility) to read everything I could about crime and judgement was an quite an experience. The bleak, dare I say grim, nature of justice in the dark future is filled with twists, turns, interpretations, and executions. Bringing that feel to Book of Judgement was, frankly, a lot of fun! Keep checking back in the coming week as we offer previews, and look for Book of Judgement on store shelves in the fourth quarter of 2011! A few comments about this book: 1. That is not what I pictured when I thought about the front cover for this book. An Arbite fighting a Defiler? I mean, sure, it's a great piece of artwork and the Defiler looks amazing, but for a book based around a group that is so heavily into investigation, fighting towering daemon engines isn't really what springs to the fore when one considers what the Adeptus Arbites are about. 2. The investigation rules are awesome. 3. I really like this book, and can't wait to get a copy.

I not sure how many, if any folks from here wander over to rpg.net, so I thought I'd offer a heads up. There's a fairly comprehensive review of Black Crusade that's been posted on that site. There's not much in the way of actual play, but it's a good, though perhaps overly kind, summary of the contents.

Members of Imperial Adepta such as the Adeptus Terra or the Ministorum do have a right for trial, apparently. The average citizen not so much.

Equipment and armour, even some basic rules, differ wildly throughout any and all of the currently existing three game systems; so far I have seen three different stat-sets for Marine weapons and two for their armour, and this does not even include Black Crusade yet. I am however not in the least surprised if I'd see BC follow suit - though I'd have wished they would drop that damn gear discrepancy at least for a game that will have normal people fight next to CSM by default.

I'm curious to see how they differ the marine armors in BC. Because BC is a mish-mash of RT/ DW in terms of scale and power, I'd expect some difference between it and the DW armor since its starting equipment for some characters. I'm also curious to see how much of the old legion armor (the older variants up to mk6) abilities and variants are used. Since I haven't seen the book personally, I don't know if the Chaos marine builds focus more towards renegade modern marines (mk7 and 8) or original legion marines (mk2-6 generally)... or even a combo of parts from various armors as you read in the Nightlords books and see on the CSM minis.

We really need to write the Grimdark Miranda.
You have the right to remain silent.
Until the torture beings.
Then you have the right to scream
Before you confess.
Anything you say
or don't say
Will be used against you in the court of law

or the execution yard

One of the things which bothers me quite a bit is all the various rules across the systems for things that I think should be the same.
Psyker power rules, arms, equipment, Xenos stats, etc.
It strikes me as an odd design decision to have so many things be so different.

Basic rules differ because they're slowly updating the system. Keep in mind that FFG did not write Dark Heresy, they licensed an already written game.
Where are the three different stat sets for Marine weapons and two for armour? There's the core rulebook weapons/armour, then errata weapons and... and... and what?

And now an extra special large edition of 40K RPG news, including a new product that wasn't on the original Deathwatch release schedule:
FFG wrote:The Return of Haarlock
Announcing the upcoming Haarlock's Legacy Trilogy
“No matter how established, how stable or how pious, every fragmented part of our Imperium is separated from terror and anarchy by naught but a shadow’s width. And where one world falls, another may follow over the edge of the abyss as a drowning man might take another down with him in his desperate grasp.”
–attributed to Sebastian Thor
Fantasy Flight Games is pleased to announce the upcoming release of The Haarlock’s Legacy Trilogy! The definitive series of epic Dark Heresy adventures found in The Haarlock’s Legacy series are together at last in one package. Old enemies and allies will join the struggle on both sides, and the dread secrets of Erasmus Haarlock will finally be revealed. Next up what must easily be the angriest cover FFG have ever made:
FFG wrote:More Rogue than Trader
Announcing Hostile Acquisitions, a supplement for Rogue Trader
“An honest life is no life at all, all duty and servitude and struggling to survive at the feet of someone born to better. A dishonest life is the way to live—no preacher expects a thief to tithe, and the authorities have no claim on moneys stolen. Of course, you need a quick wit to survive… few are happy to find themselves a few thrones lighter, and the Magistratum don’t take too kindly to thieves.”
–‘Fingers’ Deru, Scintillan pick-pocket
Rogue Traders are accustomed to earning their livings in the grey areas of the law, but a few brave or foolhardy captains take it a step further...
Fantasy Flight Games is pleased to announce the next supplement for Rogue Trader, Hostile Acquisitions! Within this detailed book, players and GMs will find all they need to run a campaign on the far side of Imperial Law. From new characters and equipment to creating nemeses and running games based on criminal enterprise, Hostile Acquisitions is an invaluable resource on those Rogue Traders who are more rogue than trader.
Crime often pays
For more on Hostile Acquisitions, let’s hear from lead developer of Rogue Trader:
Hostile Acquisitions has some particularly exciting aspects that were deviously fun to work on. One was the new character alternate career ranks, such as the Swashbucker, the House Operative, and the Cold Trader. These new alternate career ranks are highly flavourful, and allow you to make a character with a distinctively “scoundrel” bent. The House Operative is especially interesting, because it allows players to make characters who are essentially secret agents for a more powerful entity. They might even be working for the Rogue Trader’s dynasty’s interests, rather than the Rogue Trader, so players may take the role of an agent who may be secretly working against his own boss.
Another fascinating part of Hostile Acquisitions is the Nemesis Origin Path. A modification of the popular Rogue Trader Origin Path system, the Nemesis Path helps GMs craft a custom made adversary for their groups. The Nemesis Path actually ties into the Origin Path that the players fill out, so that the choices they make can determine the type of adversary they’ll go up against.
Of course, this is only some of the new content in this book. Hostile Acquisitions has new gear and starship upgrades to facilitate piracy and smuggling, a section on Imperial adversaries and details on Imperial Law, guidelines on how to run a “con” game, and a list of mythical treasures waiting to be “liberated.”
Hostile Acquisitions is a guide to crime for Explorers with a flexible sense of morality. A catalog of valuable treasures wait to be “liberated.” In short, Hostile Acquisitions is proof that in the Koronus Expanse, crime often pays.
Keep checking back over the coming weeks as we preview Hostile Acquisitions, and look for it on store shelves in the fourth quarter of 2011!
And finally, a book that a lot of people will respond to with 'Well it's about time!' - First Founding...
FFG wrote:Loyal Legions and Traitors
Announcing First Founding, a supplement for Deathwatch
“Only when by the power of our hate we have truly shed the prison of our flesh, shall we be judged worthy to stand at the side of the returned Primarch. Every foe I slay, every stone I cast down, makes my hatred purer, and the day Ferrus Manus is restored to us a day closer.”
–Iron Father Klaanu Johar
Fantasy Flight Games is pleased to announce the upcoming release of First Founding, a supplement for Deathwatch! The First Founding Legions were crafted by the Emperor himself in the image of his twenty Primarchs. They forged the Imperium in bloody combat as they waged the Great Crusade across the galaxy. Many Space Marines fell to the maligned seduction of Chaos during the Horus Heresy, but those that stayed loyal formed the base from which all Space Marine Chapters would be created. Those Chapters that still hold the loyalist Legions’ names and colours are the oldest and the most revered of all the Adeptus Astartes.
First Founding details the nine Chapters directly formed from the loyalist Space Marines Legions, and includes new rules from solo modes to new advances specialities. Of these nine Chapters, First Founding features the final four Chapters not discussed in previous Deathwatch rulebooks. This exciting supplement includes the background of the nine Traitor Legions and their fall to the seduction of the Ruinous Powers. Additionally, for the first time in Deathwatch, First Founding provides new rules for Battle-Brothers to have followers.
Exploring their heritage
For more on First Founding, here’s a word from Deathwatch’s lead developer:
The Battle-Brothers of the Deathwatch owe their heritage to a myriad of diverse chapters from across the Imperium. Of these chapters, none are more revered than those that owe their namesake to the original Space Marine Legions that fought in the Great Crusade. From the wild Space Wolves of Fenris, to the cold and calculating Iron Hands of Medusa, the chapters of the First Founding have a long and glorious legacy.
Today I’m very excited to announce the latest sourcebook in the Deathwatch line: First Founding. As you may have guessed, First Founding is all about those Space Marines who owe their name to the legendary First Founding Legions. It provides rules for playing as Battle-Brothers from the four First Founding Chapters never before detailed in the Deathwatch line: the Iron Hands, the Raven Guard, the Salamanders, and the White Scars. The book also includes new rules for the other five First Founding Chapters, including some all new chapter-specific Advanced Specialties and Chapter Relics.
As we made this book, we worked to explore the relationships between Battle-Brothers of these different chapters. First Founding contains an entire chapter devoted to the experience of joining the Deathwatch, and serving along Space Marines of all different backgrounds for the first time, helping players to get even more personally involved with their character during his service in the long watch.
Finally, First Founding contains a gripping adventure that sees the Kill-team working alongside forces from three different Space Marine chapters as they fight for the fate of an entire world. As these chapters’ combat philosophies begin to clash, tensions rise, and it is up to the Kill-team to mediate between the chapters and determine the fate of an entire world.
Look for previews in the coming weeks, and prepare for First Founding to be released in the fourth quarter of 2011!
I've been wondering for a while now when FFG were going to announce this book, and I might have the odd comment to add as more information about First Founding is made public.

So wait, the Haarlock trilogy is just a repackaging of the old trilogy or has it been edited as well?
And yay for Hostile Acquisitions, I'd be angry too if I had to wait that long for the book to be announced properly. Still, sounds good from the look of it, the Nemesis Origin Path in particular.

And the news just does not stop: FFG wrote:Conspiracy at the Highest Level The latest Dark Heresy adventure is available for sale vie download "Around us is darkness and sin. We slip as one ever further into hell. If one could arrest our slide to damnation, but doing so would cost more lives than you can comprehend, is it not right to take that step. Appalling though the price might be, is it not our duty?" —Pronouncement of the First Synod of the Maledictor’s Hand The Church of the Damned, an adventure for Dark Heresy, is now on sale via download at drivethrurpg.com and rpgnow.com! Investigating corruption within the Ecclesiarchy itself is as delicate as it is dangerous, but when an influential leader is suspected of heresy, you and your fellow Acolytes will uncover an ever-deepening conspiracy that could spell the end of the entire Calixis Sector... The Church of the Damned is the second adventure in The Apostasy Gambit, a Dark Heresy campaign that takes a cell of Acolytes from investigating the tragic history of a warped Cathedral to crusading against a conspiracy within one of the Imperium’s most vaunted organisations. While The Church of the Damned continues the events started in The Black Sepulchre, it also includes starting points to be played on its own or as part of your own campaign. Mystery and Conspiracy Dark Heresy’s lead developer took the time to share his thoughts about The Church of the Damned, and how it seamlessly ties in to the events depicted in Black Sepulchre: Dark Heresy is a game of investigation, and while there is plenty of action to be had, the core experience is one of mystery and conspiracy. The Church of the Damned sees the Acolytes embracing that role and leading an investigation into the heart of one of the Imperium’s most powerful organizations. Witnesses must be questioned, information researched, and crime scenes examined. Of course, there is a good deal of combat too, with a variety of new and familiar foes. Hair raising, skin of your teeth, knock down, drag out combat. This may be the deadliest adventure we’ve ever written. Don’t expect to save the entire Calixis Sector and come away with all your fate points... or limbs! The Maledictor’s Hand, a secret group of fanatical extremists, manipulates the Imperium from the shadows. You and your fellow Acolytes must hurry to stop their dark plot before it’s too late. But who can you trust? Head to drivethrurpg.com or rpgnow.com and download your copy of The Church of the Damned today! I know this pace won't keep up, but it is nice to get so many new things in one day.
