Since, I don't play 40k and I just paint, I tend to do whatever strikes my mood. The last thing I did was a Chimp Fist Terminator, which is a gorilla in Terminator Armor. My blog link is in my sig. Hopefully, soon, I will be able to get back in to it and bust some stuff out.

@Graven - Streaks? I can't say I've experienced it, Typically I use the least amount of Glue I can to get a model to stick together. Since it's only me picking the guys up I don't have to worry about heavy handed kids/klutz causing breakages.

Amazing as always. Any tips on painting SM tanks? I'm going to have to tackle 3 at some point this year.

@Gits - Hahah, I see what you did there. "Blows you away" and it's a tank. Nicely done.

@Leohart - Cheers, I can see I missed some squiggles on the top hatch marine on his red shoulder pad, I must fix that.

@Lorna - I would totally use that if I could get my hands on one!

@C L - thanks, I can offer tip's that help me out, but they may not be suited for you however here goes.

I paint in sections, for this tank the body didn't have the sides or the top stuck down so I could break up the large model into smaller and easier to manage littler parts I left the sponsons off and the turret assembled again so I didn't get stuck with a huge model to paint. For me this works great as I can tick of parts that are done.
As you've undoubtedly seen I do multiple thin coats of grey to get it clean and crisp

there are some parts I do again as even with two thin coats its not quite clean enough

I also forgot to mention, the side sponsons are held in place by magnets, you can see on the front left picture the sponson looks like its sticking out a bit far, it is but only due to me not seating it right for the picture, it sits flush (as seen in the back left shot)

Update: I wanted to paint something not grey before I jump into the next round of GMS marines so I figure how about a black servitor eh?

@WM - the concept models with no primer are usually WIP 1 so the basecoat with wash is WIP 2 typically. Happy it's been picked up now

@Gits - Cheers, he's slightly different from the last servitor, so I'm going to go back and match the old to to the new as I really like how simple but shiny this one looks.

@Graven - Hahah thanks mate, to be honest there wasn't a lot to do on this guy I made all the metal areas very simple so I could get through it quick enough.

@C L - No worries, I'm looking forward to getting the last two servitors done as well as getting the Inquisitor Retinue underway as well. I've seen the Infinity models but nothings piqued my interest yet.

@Graven - Yep you got it, WIP 1 is a test mock up WIP 2 is painting time. I had considered getting the Sword Brethren after seeing what you have done with yours, I just need to get through what I currently have waiting for paint (check the first page in the 'To Do" spoiler tag for more)

I've never noticed that the skull atop the backpack has a hood. That's kind of goofy. Regardless, he's coming along nicely. Does he have a storm bolter?

That servitor you did earlier this week turned out great. I love seeing great paint jobs on older minis.

Welcome to some of the Dark Angels accessories eh, it is very naff but I think its not to bad, it could be so much worse. You've seen correctly, he does have a storm bolter and also stay tuned theres another two servitors to complete

Very nice. I'm not really a big fan of the very bright metals but here I feel it really works, especially on the sword arm.
