@LSC'L (or is that CL now?) - There are slow day's on Dakka, so I'm not that shocked that sometimes there aren't replies to a blog for a couple of day's, I'll keep posting though

@Proto - Cheers, should be able to finish him today time permitting.

@Moltar - Thanks mate

Update: Metals/reds done

Whoa, that looks really great! Love the lenses, can we get a pic of the auspex?

Mostly, on my phone.

It's the detail work of the conversion that really sets this piece apart. I think which should set up a league of obsessive converters. Great job as always mate and the lens work is particularly fine!

@Gits - Cheers, I'm quite happy with he came out, I probably would have changed the head if it was going to stay with me.

@CL - Auspex below

@Graven - Obsessive converters eh? I think Dakka is full of those, Just take for example your Vindicare assassin, Git's latest Apoth. We should totally do that

So here's a side shot of Proto's GMS, you can kind of see the Auspex screen

And I got some base colors done on the 2nd Objective marker, it's a fresh pic you can see the Wash is still wet

I really like the objective; the way you've used the chaos vehicle plates is inspired. Neat!

@Graven - Cheers mate, I wanted to make some kind of Chaos temple, but the size of the base really hindered me there.

@Swordwind - More skulls for the skull objective marker!

Really nice although maybe the shadows between the skulls on top need to be a bit deeper?

@M.K - Thanks, Good point about adding something more to it, I had considered more skulls, but I think having perhaps the Nurgle head impaled on a NFS would have been the better option

@Zari - Thanks man, it didn't take me long to concept/paint either so with it ending up with an implied effect is a tasty bonus! also would you suggest a sepia wash for the skulls?

@Graven - Good point, I'll see if I can do something about that, I only have it a once over coat of skill wash so perhaps another might darken it up.

@Moltar - No worries mate, I'm stoked your posting here quite a bit

Man, I'm always happy to post here, Knightley. I just don't always have the time. I'm often dakka-ing while on the job. You're product is so consistent and so crisp. I truly enjoy your work and am happy to offer up any criticism or comments when I have something worth saying. I'm never too far from dakka, even when I'm not posting. I'm great at lurking these forums. I need to get my stuff back on track though. I've been away from the paints since, I believe September. That's not good. Got to get back in a groove.

Predator is coming along very nicely. It's been too long since we've seen you tackle a vehicle. Excited for what's to come.

@Moltar - Ah, I'm also one who likes to view from work but don't have the time to post. What 'were' you working on in September? I'd be happy to subscribe to a blog.

It's a really lovely piece mate. How do you avoid streaks from glue on your paintwork, out of interest?
