My small order arrived today (no base set, just some add-ons I wanted and that included the Giant Robot. This thing is going to be perfect for Pulp City

That's why I got one too - are you saying your Giant Stompy Robot was shipped, and you have it in hand?

Just wait a couple of weeks and you will.

Or maybe after Chinese New Year.

Wow. Just... lol Bob. He was talking about the GSR having two left legs or whichever, if they fixed it the shoe would be on the other foot ehh?

Then the new years thing... lol. Seems like that's a steady source of delay for kickstarter mantic being no exception.

To be fair, I think Alpharius didn't see it because he can't see what's not in front of him, or in transit, and probably not even boxed up with a packing slip yet. Not even a shipping notification.

It's like, if a tree falls in the woods, would it still receive its Mantic Kickstarter rewards before you or I? (Yes.)

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Mantic, Dreamforge or someone should come out with a bogeyman sculpt named Chinese New Year.

Just don't expect them to be shipped in a timely manner.

Would be an insult to the concept if that were the case!

That's what she said.

Looks like they managed to make it truly huge and imposing while still fitting in one cube, so good on them.

Nah, she said "The size of that... "

I haven't read the entire thread, but has anyone ordered/gotten their hands on the flying saucer?

Thats... awesome. So I guess they've gotten the issue sorted and have started shipping all everything thing? Surprised they didn't send out one of those 'everything is awesome' notices about it. Looks great thank for sharing

Mold lines look pretty pronounced on the arms but they should be easy to fix.

Nice to see that the tiny humans were not, in fact, forgotten.

That's what I was talking about!

It seems as if the GSR delay is...over?

And stuff should start shipping now?

I'm in for a GSR and a lot of terrain - all for Pulp City...

Nice!

That Robot looks excellent. Very happy to see the shrink ray made it into production after all (now we just need the rules for it.) Great stuff.

What kind of plastic is the Robot made from? The same as the minis?

On the GSR: Are those seams going to be as hard to deal with/hide as they look?

Hmm the material is hard to describe. It's definitely not restic, but I am pretty sure that it isn't the same hard plastc that Mantic are using for the Deadzone stuff.. it is certainly not the same as the material found in my sci-fI zombies.

But it is *some* kind of hard plastic. If you have ever had any of the Chessex hex bases or some of the plastic minis from em-4 then I would say it was just like that.

As for tackling the seams.. yeah, I will get back to you tomorrow once I've tried it

Well they have confirmed shipping, except for the Compendium which will go out separately.

Seems the speculation was right and it was this that held everything thing up , but was never mentioned.

Given the typos in the pdf's sent out, hopefully the extra time was spent proof reading.

My order came last night and I am impressed, especiallly the deluxe playmats.

Everything is nice and crisp and little to no flash anywhere. I will look at the seams once I am ready to try some test models.

Okay thiese are not hard core plastic miins but they are of a higher standard to other "boardgame" minis and at least for me perfectly acceptable.

Bodes well for Dungeon Saga

Yeah, after reviewing the large majority of my order I'm really looking forward to DBX and dungeon saga.

My stuff turned up today. Brown pile is sold to a mate, green pile I'm keeping, the smaller box I'm selling. Pleased with the quality for the price.

I'm beginning to think my pledge will be the last to be shipped.
So pissed off that my local game shop has had this for like two months.
Still seeing pictures of everything I'm getting makes me think I'll forgot about that once it turns up.

it's the quiet ones you have to look out for. Their the ones that change the world, the loud ones just take the credit for it.

Got mine today. The seams on the arms and legs seem like they'll be easy to deal with, and the ones on the torso are even easier - they're not a mold line, they're a small gap between two halves of torso stuck together in the factory. Small touch of greenstuff will handle it no sweat.

I'm also one of the tiny handful of people who bought the retro troops - in the end they sent us 12 Walord US Marines with a weapon sprue, and they're pretty nice, more arm and head options than you can shake a stick at.
