Childe, maybe, but to do so would have doubled the width of the top of he stand and there just wasn't room for that on the bottom of the bird....
Vik, I've thrown some bricks in my day to some very good effect. Aerodynamic or not they can in fact fly if you try hard enough.

The stand looks like a giant shoe lol.
That said, i'm probably going to sacrifice a land raider (or maybe a baneblade...) for the base for this. (been thinking about how to base this for a few hours now....)
Cut a big hole in the tank for the stand, thread the stand through the tank hole, and make it look like a massive plume of smoke the thunderhawk is flying over. Add some flickering LED's in the smoke, and it will look badass.

That idea sounds awesome! You can't bail that now you just have to do it!
also... Max, Don't get me wrong.. But I think it would better if you angled it up abit.. Right now it looks like it's going down :/
But then again.. that's just imo. Other than that it looks just great!

No I agree. I think that would be cool. I Really haven't finished the idea for this stand though. I plan on adding trimming and rivets and was gonna have it sit on a fiberboard oval.
