Great project - love the imagination. I personally would darken or reden things with another wash - it looks a little too "salmon" right now. Just my opinion of course.

Dysartes: Blood will definitely be added around the grot; glad you like'em!
Anung Un Rama: I checked out your battlewagon, and the painted rivets certainly do look good on it; however, there are two reasons I won't be doing this on my battlewagon:
1) Your battlewagon is a dark(ish) red, which makes the rivets work; I've messed around with metal over the orange, and it won't have the same effect; you need a darker base to really make the rivets pop. Weathering will of course be applied on the wagon, and probably around the rivets as well though.
2) In reality, stuff would be riveted before it's painted. Realism and 40K don't go together well, I know, but it matters to me
kestral: I think the salmon is due to dakka correcting the colours a bit; it's a more brownish organge then salmon is. (well the salmon I eat anyway ). If it's not: tastes differ
So, I finally finished my 3rd megagrot, giving me a small but legal unit of 3. This was the first one I converted, and it shows a bit. Still like the little bugger though!
Next up will be the battlewagon and a grot mob, trying to get to a legal and painted core of the army

Anung Un Rama: maybe for the crest or some of the bigger rivets... I'll try it out on the belly of the beast
Eagle Ark: No . Right now ' Ol' Yeller' got stuck in my head for some reason (as far ast the crest goes anyway), either that or a title from a racing movie/game
Commissar Agro: Thanks! Always good to get approval from a fellow commissar
Not much of an update tonight, only finished my 5th megagrot. For the next bunch, I'm going, to try and alter the position of the cc arm; I hadn't done it so far because it involves some pretty risky cutting in the stealth suit torso, but I'm running out of options otherwise. I want them to look unique! I tried to go for a heavy-duty pneumatic sledgehammer on this one, what do you guys think? the next one will probably get the obligatory huge chainsaw, but I'm waiting for mykilla kans to come in from maelstrom; it's been almost two weeks by now:(
Anyway, pics:
combi-skorcha, made from an ork shoota, a heavy stubber barrel and a flamer. Plus random bits of course
I ran out of biker bits, so I have to improvize a bit for power sources/backpacks:
and a view of the jackhammer:
He needs some greenstuffing, but other then that I'm gonna call it a day on this. Unless I rip off the weapon and start a new of course, still debating that course of action...

Those are the best Megagrots I have seen. They still look mega while being more grot-like instead of just an Ork model with a grot head on it.

Looking awesome as always (latest Megagrot). Its funny - I'm not really a fan of the battlewagon's look (though the idea, modelling and effort are awesome), nor the orange (again, just personal preference), but together it's starting to grow on me - I await its completion with anticipation!
And this...

Arakasi: Thanks . Glad the battlewagon is growing on you! I'm not sure the last megagrot looks better; it certainly looks more cobled together though. The main thing that makes a difference compared to the older ones IMO is the fact that I spent a lot more time on the feet, adding detailing and cabling running to the backpack. As for updating: it's just bottlenecks, basically. I had a lot of stuff half-finished, which means getting lots of stuff finished merely requires some restraint when it comes to starting new projects - or running out of parts temporarily. And as we all know, I can resist anything, but temptation
Commissar Agro: well that's two votes for cobbled together backpacks; you guys might be onto something . Oh, and the proper battlecry should be 'Viva la revolucion!'. Or 'Hasta la victoria siempre!'. Or 'Squig beer ftw!', not entirely sure
ceorron: Thanks! As for wanting to: make one!

EagleArk: Euhm.. No
Two ideas for the graffiti on the crest now: one's "Ol'Yeller", just to mess with people's heads if they want to put it down; the other... We have a show here that's called Man! Liberation Front (M! LF); I feel "Grot! Liberation Front" would be a nice name for the army. And being able to paint G! LF on the front of the wagon is just iceing on the cake .
Here's a few pics of my 6th megagrot. He has a rock drill for a cc weapon; I tried to mimic one of the heads of the Krieg siege drill from FW. The base for the drill was a bit of tau drone, the rest is greenstuff and plasticard; his power pack is half a buggy engine, with odds and ends added. I added it before all the comments on the scratched one looking better came in, but I'll try and scratch the next three megagrots'" backpacks!
So, Pics:
And a group shot of these 3:
The wagon is coming together slowly, and I'm also painting some basic grots and the first kommissar. Pics will be up shortly!

Sure:
the left and middle ones are my favourites of the bunch; the one one the right was the first to be converted and it shows a bit. If you compare these to the next three, the main difference will be in the feet and the fact that I made other weaponry then PKs; with greenskins, I feel you need some variation. My killa kans shoud be arriving any day as well, so I'll have an additional supply of nifty cc bits from those.

Dysartes: I know, that's why I prefer the other two. Not that I dislike him, but he kindof reminds me of the old terminators as far as the pose goes: fist to the side, and storm bolter straight forward... I do like the face though; the helmet adds that bit of grot goofiness and lack of common sense. Anyway, glad you like'em!
EagleArk: Just that!
Commissar Agro: Exactly, no such thing as too much dakka I'm hoping the killa kans will arrive somewhere this week, since I'm pretty anxious to get started on them; I've held them, but I feel I never really 'know' a set till I've assembled it. Curious to see what options they'll give to the G! LF
I also managed to finish a few more grots, with the three plastic grots converted. I'm having some trouble individualising the one-piece grots though... Esepcially the one aiming along his gun will be hard to make different.
So, pics:
First off, one of the classic grots and his converted buddy:
The classic metal grot wasn't converted at all, since the model has a lot of character. I have a second one of these, who'll probably get attached to the battlewagon. The other lttle guy has two new arms and the manic look any grot should have
The next two:
The one with the sword is usually holding a gun (and he and his buddy still needs their claws finished, looking at the pic), but I felt it looked a bit 'Samurai-grot' with the hair. The other guy had a simple gun swap, since his sword is sculpted onto his body. I also gave him a pair of jeans .I might try and change the shape of the sword on the next to get some more variation. The gun itself is simply a shortened IG grenade launcher, plenty of dakka!
And a group shot to finish things off:
These guys give me a grand total of 11 grots painted... lol... Only 109 grots and 12 kommissars more to go!
