Also I drink milk by the gallons....so I think(in my mind at least) that it evens it out enough so I dont get the enjoyable stone

Its the calcium carbonate in the beverage(makes the bubbles!), and then calcium in the milk that will get ya if you dont drink water too. I got hammered with a series of them from also having mineral rich water

And if Helgrenze lived closer Id steal me some ribs!

I drink about 3 liters of cola a day, plus tea and water, never had stone problems.
And the ribs were fall off the bone perfect. Later this week, I am doing boneless pork chops in the smoker..... thinking of Maple chips and a honey glaze.

Georgia is driving me crazy with it's lack of Cajun/Creole food,I've been here three years and have yet to find a decent "N'awlins style" resturant.
Honestly,I'd push an old lady down a flight of steps for a good bowl of gumbo (that I don't have to cook myself.)

The funny thing is I've talked this idea over with both my Brother & my Girlfriend, both are cautiously supportive, biggest concern being the current economic climate in GA.
I would honestly love to own my own restaurant,as cooking is some what of a "tradition" in my family (my Moms side owned a bakery from the 30s up until the mid 80's),and most of the men in my family consider themselves the next Justin Willison (delusional lot we are).
On a side note,I rarely see Moon Pies here in GA. (wich is odd),except for at the occasional stop and shop & at Dave Poes ( a fantastic little BBQ place in Marietta GA. that I highly recomend). ... Hey,I just did a comercial.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Instant_noodles

According to a Japanese poll in the year 2000, instant noodles were the most important Japanese invention of the century. Karaoke came second, with the Compact Disc only coming in fifth. As of 2008, approximately 94 billion servings of instant noodles are eaten worldwide every year. China consumes 45 billion packages of instant noodles per year, or 48% of the world, Indonesia consumes 14 billion, Japan 5.1 billion. Per capita, South Korean people eat the highest number of instant noodles, 69 packages per year.

Goddamit, Japan...

Note: Oriental flavor scares me... What the hell is it? Cajun/creamy chicken is a bit ambiguous... but it still says chicken. Same with picante beef, which I have never actually seen before.

Oriental flavor is my favorite. I love chinese food but can rarely spare the extra money for the real thing so this is a sort of substitute. pork flavor is fail.

Shrimp flavor is fail... pork is not that bad.

I have never been reminded of chinese food, while eating oriental flavor. In my mind, top ramen just tastes like top ramen. Salty and reminiscent of boiled cardboard. I just overcook it so I can ignore the paper-like noodles.

I will note with amusement- the low calorie soda will not compensate for the 10lbs of ribs if ya eat them by yourself )

But I believe coke zero uses Splenda rather than aspartame as a sweetener(hence the taste difference). I drink diet soda, except diet coke....its just not right....

And Im thinking of some marinated & fried tofu for dinner. You may scoff- but its damn tasty. Plus I just finished off the roast beef I made a few days ago and need my weekly does of veggies to offset that

Depends on what you marinate it with. I seen it soaked with Beef Fat, then fried. Supposed to come out tasting of beef. Will have to see if I can find that recipe.

Hehe- if I have beef fat around it means I jsut made some beef- and hence the tofu would get to hang out in the fridge I also have the tendency to buy the leaner meats so theres not much fat left over. Sounds tasty though, maybe I'll go lipo a nearby cow

Saw it on Top Chef a couple seasons ago. If you have a local Butcher they usually just toss the fat so you could get it cheap.
