It has been noted, but I for one don't care because the Lamassu head option is so damn cool!

It will be a 'counts as' Manticore in my WoC army anyway.

Which is slowly but surely becoming populated by more Chaos Dwarf looking miniatures! (Go Mantic Go!)

I'd go with the insured shipping, but I'm also paranoid about such things and $7 is a small price for me to pay for peace of mind.

Excellent about the shipping! That will definitely put my mind at ease... having them replace it at no cost for just 5 euros more is so worth it to me, given my worrying about that kind of thing.

I'm really hoping that it goes on preorder within the next two days. I'll be going back home for Christmas on Thursday, and while I'm there, my access to a computer will be much more restricted.

That proved smart, as we got hit with delays from one of our 3D printers… However, we’ll have the masters in tomorrow Wednesday Dec.15, and open pre-orders at that time.

Also, having looked at the pics side-by-side now, I am very happy with the new wings... and also the Lammasu head! I will probably pick it up, even if I cannot use it... it looks awesome. And I'm tempted to use it as the head of mine, since it's a deamon prince anyway... who says how it should look?

If not, it'll be awesome to have... just to have

I plan to build mine as a vanilla Manticore. the Lammasu head looks cool and all, but the Manticore just looks cooler, in my opinion.

I'm concerned I'll have to get them both... the big-hatted stunties are calling me. With Mantic making good-looking plastics with metal bit upgrades and Warhammer Forge maybe making them into an official army again, my wallet is quite unhappy.

I hope that the head is an option to add to the regular model in the order section, not just to trade out for the current head, as I'd like both! I don't want to buy two manticores, though... can't justify that at the moment

Well, if the sculpt is as simple as just a head swap, a little magnetizing should be able to fix that up for your RiTides. Of course, I'm sure RH wouldn't mind terribly if you purchased a second Manticore body to go along with that second head.

Yes, I am hoping it's a smiple head-swap... if not, I'll just choose one or the other, but I'm still torn between them!

Rather than another manticore, their tree people are tempting me... but

not at this time!!

Holy cow those are amazing!!! Without the Lamassu head that's only a 3 euro increase expected price, he's 14% bigger than initially projected, and includes Kahn Urkahn! Oh happy days!

Also, can we get any insight as to how many pieces/what the parts will come as? I'm not going to lie, this looks like it'll be an absolute nightmare to build, almost as scary as the model itself. I look forward to it though.

Will be the centerpiece (together with my Ultraforge dragon and a scratch built CoB) of my Dark Elf army.

Finally a proper mount for Hellebron.

Oh, yet another question. Does the Khan attachment come with the extra heads? Or just the helmeted head shown?

I believe that Kahn Urkahn only comes with a single set of components (no options) in this kit... I think that's back in the earlier pages somewhere.

However, they mention that if the model doesn't match your army, just use the legs (which are separate from the torso) and put your own upper body on it

Lol, Chibi! And that would be an epic-looking DE force, Kirbinator...

Also, the extra photos show off the "scorpion-like" tail a lot better now... I wasn't sure what they were referring to about that before, but now that I can see it, I quite like it!

My god, i want one so bad >< It would be a perfect center peice for my DE, and its presence would have serious psychological effects on my opponents.

Well, it wasn't a matter of whether or not he matches my army or anything, since he looks absolutely beautiful and I don't even have a fantasy army to begin with (although now he's made Dark Elves somewhat tempting...), it's just that I want to know what supplies to buy while I'm in Calgary for Christmas.
