yeah, but storm bolters on tanks are at least 5pts more expensive on tanks because of suvivability- infrantry SB - 3pts. tank SB - 10pts.

So, the tank is just gonna sit then? Cammo netting is good fo are long range sniper tanks like Vanquishers and Hydras or Artillery like Manticores and Basilisks.

well all the other leman russes have that option...it's really only you who's gonna have one, so it's just a formality. Like my chief librarian- I could have given him options for only what argear I'd use him for because it's my rules, but as a formality, and to make it more impressive, I've included ptions for stuff I'd never use.

True, such an equipped tank with that many MM's would need to be used aggressively though! close in and kill with the turret and a hull MM based on where the enemy was when it needed to fire!

3 meltaguns, 9 multi-meltas and 6 TL multi-meltas outflanking...ouch...

Somebody else had taken the last plastic Baal turret and found the ring fit the old Leman Russ collar, and was talking about making an all assault cannon russ as well. thoses combined would be nasty!

yep...I wanna see an army survive 9 MM's, 6 TL MM's, 3 meltaguns, 9 AC's, 3 TL AC's and 3 heavy stubbers...outflanking...

It would be a nasty surprise for sure! The plan he had for it was TLAC in the turret and bow, and then sponson Asslt cannons!

TL AC where 1 LC should be? It wouldn't fit...1 AC in it qould be fine IMO...

Not sure how he was going to do that myself as they are big, but the new plastic ones might fit. two together. If the Terminators sprue are ordered, or the assault cannons are not used.

Back to fictions!

The ready room was a fairly simple affair, tables, chairs, all mis-matched from being collected in different zones at different campaigns. Pictures hung about the walls, scattered about the place were different trophies. Mostly scavenged bits of burnt, and mis-shaped metal, a cannon shell casing from a ruined tank, a wheel here, a piece of tread, but most special, and the one piece none could wield properly as it was to massive, set in a specially built case lined in gray velvet, with a glass cover, a massive Thunder Hammer with a shrine at the place beneath it, a token of an extremely bit of great fortune as the symbol of a near impossible fight early on.

The cabinet along one wall contained different vintages of vodka, selected back from the home world, a few odd bottles of Amasec or other drink keeping the vodka company. The cleaning servitor heard the ones who used this room coming down the hallway, their boots clunking along the deck plating, their voices loud, boisterous even.

In strode a squad of veterans who held a special place in the Khadrovian Iron Guards, and the enmity of several other military organizations who had lost tanks or other war-machines to these men.

Vasily, hero of the State, decorated veteran of dozens of campaigns, along with him, the "Violators" called such for their ability to show up behind the enemy and wreak damage and havoc when they did decide to make their flashy entrance, usually in the form of exploding tanks.

Their Radio man, nicknamed "Chatter", who had some minor lay training from the Mechanicus sect to perform the needed maintenance of the vox, and who performed miracles of communication with it,

The came Stone, aka "Chef" due to the ability to make good meals in the field, and nail a tank square on with his melta, he still fit the uniform of the elite air drop unit that had been destroyed in a landing mishap and Vasily had snapped him back into a fighting soldier..

The came "Rat" the one who loved the long coat and fur lined headgear of Khadrovias ice forces, another who excelled at Melta use.

The third melta gunner of the team, a man with many scars they liked to name " Ogre" because he was the largest of the team and some would swear he would carry two meltas if he were allowed to!

These were the core of the team, the rest also came in bandaged and salved after the latest fight, they found a place for each of the tank parts they had collected as trophies from their kills.

Marko, Heller, Petrovich, and Galier, Rostov was still in the med bay, the tank they got last having had the audacity to explode when they had killed it so close by, and a piece clipped him shattering his arm. That piece got a special place just for the bragging rights alone on that one!

Vasily opened the cabinet, "Alright! Another glorious day for the Violators lads! drink well we earned a 48hr rest over on board! make things last, we need to "procure" more drinks soon!" at hat tone of "Procure" the men laughed, they all knew exactly what their leader meant.

"I'm gonna take a drink or three to Rostov and see how he feels who knows, he may be active by the time we go back for another hunt."

The men were in decent spirits, they were hoping the arm would be fixed and sturdy enough as they did not wish to fight either short handed, or with a newbie who knew little to nothing of how to work with them. "Hey chief, I'll go with ya!" said Ogre, "After all, I helped pull him out from under that plate!" he quipped, referring to the larger piece of armor that had not crushed Rostov as it had been bent in such a way as to merely pin him by the arm, they had cut that loose after Ogre pulled it off the pother man.

Rat cut in. "Yeah, Ogre the way you got all teary eyed was so moving!" the rest broke out laughing at that and Ogre retorted "Hey, he is my friend, as you all are, I'd do the same for ant of you slugs!" at which he beat a hasty retreat from the Ready room, followed by more laughter as Rat urged them on. All of them were close, as combat could make a bunch, blood and terror had forged them all.

Vasily merely winked as he left the room, "Rat, you should have been a club comic, not a soldier" Rat feigned shock and hurt, "But Boss, I WAS a comic until I got drunk and signed my life away!" to which Vasily left for the med bay with the room roaring hysterically at Rat's self deprecation.

The men were in decent spirits

love this pice of fluff...i was always in with comics for the short times of peacefull groupactivity...where you get to know the team something better... the lone wolf stories where always so sterotype...could read that banter for hours^^!

to bad russians where a very sore winner after they stormed berlin... i know what they had to endure in their motherland by the hands of the germans, but afterwards the "liberation" of germany by russians they now where the thieving and raping bunch the germans before were...

No argument there. They didn't have to sink to that level. Then again, That is what my Khadrovian kommissars are embedded for, to make sure that all units act in a dignified manner and do not resort to such barbarism as that would be a bad reflection on the Emperors' servants as a whole! All transgressors will be dealt with accordingly by the blessed bolt-pistol the Kommissars carry.

They do get the results that even make a Vanquisher embarassed about! Vasily(Bastonne) can make the meltas Twin-linked now), "Bring it down" is that special order to make special and heavy weapons do that.

Vasily has a very good track record!

i think i have to make me some nice vets too^^...seems i have to search deep in my bitsbox for some meltas and stuff...
