Wow watching that trailer I sometimes forgot that it was animation. Excellent work. You should be getting paid for these skills!

Without seeing all of the emails that have passed between the production team and GW it's difficult to predict what will be the outcome.

I'm sure the production team are intelligent enough to hold off any personal investment of time and money until they have a written agreement that there will be no hindrance to them distributing their film. I think it's important to maintain a positive, but cautious, outlook.

I wish the team the best of luck for the projects future!!

But the voice acting seems blunty, just refine that and it will be perfect

My natural pessimism says this won't end well with GW but I would like to watch the finished product of this.

I posted on their website that this is cool news, but I think GW will shaft them. As already mentioned by someone. If they let the person invest time and money in it and then pull the plug at the end, it has more of an impact. They are that nasty.

It has nothing to do with nastiness. It has everything to do with the fact that the people requesting permission always go ahead as though GW said yes, despite them not saying yes.

As I understand it, Damnatus did get consent. It was only after two years of work that concerns grew, and after another year of silence on GW's part and a year of negotiations (including an announcement from GW that all was A-OK and it could be finished) that the film was finished...and THEN banned.

Yeah, originally they said it would be ok as long as it wasn't commercial--even ran an advert for it in a German white dwarf if memory serves.

The company's community employees said it was fine, but the lawyers didn't after researching the situation more.

That's because of the German 'If you make it you own it' odd copyright laws. Yeah, it was gakky, but you can't really blame GW for that.

Yeah their IP law seems a bit strange in that you seemingly cannot sign your copyright away.

Had to be a bitter pill to swallow though, after 2-3ish years of approval, thousands of Euros and a WD endorsement. Hope this film fares better.

Although, with file sharing these days being that much more prominent, as well as it being English language, it would be impossible for GW to completely bottle it up (the movie could just be 'accidentally' released onto the web) so as long it is not a profit making enterprise.

I'd guess we see this according to the chances as stated above.

The voice acting and the sound effects are pretty rough. Otherwise that's the only real complaint.

as you might already know (visiting the website and Facebook page), the project has been approved by Games Workshop, despite all the scepticism on this forum and elsewhere!

More and more people are becoming aware of The Lord Inquisitor, including some Warhammer big shots who are willing to help out. That is why it is so important for there to be a lot of enthusiasm for this project. Thank you for your continuing support, and don't forget to like the Facebook page where information regarding the development of the animation is posted regularly. The problem isn't that the voice was too deep, it was that the guy was trying to sound badass, but it just came off as unnatural and crappy.

The animation though is excellent, I'll give him that.

This movie looks fantastic and I can't wait!

While I enjoyed the Ultramarine movie this looks 10 time better and I can wait/ to see the end result!

Aaron Dembski -Bowden, writer know for his work for the Black Library, has been announced as the writer of the Lord Inquisitor storyline.

Wow, that's tremendous news! ADB is in my top two BL authors (DA being the other naturally)--and this really puts some authority behind the GW green light. Can't wait!

Well, guess I gotta check this out now. Aaron Dembski-Bowden is my favorte BL author by far.

Well, I had high hopes when Dan Abnett wrote the script for the "Ultramarine" movie and it turned out to be a 1:1 copy of the Aliens movie script.
Hope ADB does a better job.
