And I named him Red because of a character from a certain show from the 70's that looks like him. He is no longer in charge of blue platoon: it no longer exists. Now he commands the whole army, as the old c.o. looked too weedy. Think of him as the Foreman.
Also, I'm working on the sentinel, and it looks pretty good so far imho. I did the green, brown stripes, black stripes, and metals. Now for the details

Thanks! Not sure of a name, yet, but it is armed with an autocannon, and also has smoke launchers.

I went to the thrift store and got:
-some "snow-tex", to try and make mud
-dowel rods, for oil barrels
-some weird plastic thingies, for buildings
-and a container full of oil paints, some brushes, some medium, and some acrylic black
all for under $10!
I am testing the mud now.

and the sentinel looks not too shabby... the camo i really like... tho i have to be blunt honest with you... the detailwork such as the door handle and the tiny LED´s on the side... look a bit smudgy... what size of brush do you use? and for that matter... do you hold your breath while painting? do you rest your hand on the desk or do you paint with free hands? if the later... try to rest your hands... thus you eliminate some of the micro movements in your hands...(aka trembling...)


oh and show us your weird plastic thingies^^

I'm not really going fully into oils, I just use them for weathering sometimes.
The smudges are mostly from painting while the wash wasn't completely dry . I really need to be more patient!
as for the plastic things, I'll probably take pictures when I build the first building. Right now, It's time for me to work on my epic orks!

Thanks! The red-haired, bearded man is wearing a kilt (albeit a long one), which, like his head, are from the flagellant kit, which comes with all sorts of great bitz: especially for penal legions (which I will work on as soon as I get superglue).
And the lasguns count as shotguns: they also have ammo drums made from those round bitz that are on sprues.

i thought it was from the flagelant kit but wasn´t sure enough...

ah... autoshotguns... nice one... if you are interested... have a look at my steampunk vets... i used curtain hook rolls for amo drum mags ...they have a slim lipped look to them that adds a nice texture to the mag...

It was a toy motorcycle, that's pretty much all I know. I think you're probably right though.

Quick question: if I have iron warriors, plague marines, and steampunk chaos dwarves (count as 1k sons), should I make the iron warriors and steampunk guys slightly gross, to tie in with the plague marines? You know what they say: what drinks copious amounts of alcohol, must expel copious amounts of vomit!
The predator in game has heavier front armor, the model does not. I fixed this with my version (which doesn't require the actual predator kit, btw).
In other news, I finished my steampunk vehicle, which is now a truck. It i definitely one of my larger works, may even turn it into a diorama!
