The fluff for those reactors fits 40k perfectly, to say otherwise is being outrageously po faced.

Some dusty techpriest wandering the halls of some manufactorum with a vile of fluid and a pipette saying incantations as he slowly unscrews the fuel cap and adds not one, not two...but three droplettes of the sacred liquid. The holiest liquid, for it was given unto them for the most holiest of purposes. A blessing to keep the machine spirits at ease and to make sure the manufactorum keeps running and the boltgun shells are produced for the Space Marines to smite the enemies of mankind.

The Imperium is a society wracked by superstitious traditions and horrific sacrifices. If you can't get you're head around the idea of people being slaughtered like lambs just for their blood to be blessed and used in pointless rituals to keep reactors going then you probably need to read Sacrifice by Ben Counter. I strongly recommend it.

The reactors are inherently silly. Some of you like them, some don't. How many pages of back-and-forth refuting does that need to cover the topic, exactly?

Inferred ratios, personal feuds, 'dogged defenses'... come on, this place is getting miserable! It's a bit of plastic scenery. Don't buy it. Move on. Quite literally, no one will suffer because this bit of plastic whimsy has been released.

Well... it's a small blurb in White Dwarf, not a novel. I doubt they put even as much thought into it as you did writing this post. Better you read into it whatever you feel fits the setting best.

Marines made of dust?

That's ridiculous

Dust has no muscles or tendons or neurons and cannot possibly make a suit of armor move no matter how much warp energy or whatever you pump into it!

GW has gone too far this time, my suspension of disbelief is ruined.

The new generators, though, only make me feel really sorry for the bloke running Quantum Gothic, who was providing awesome gothic terrain features when the Wall of Martyrs and Void Shield Generator were still a gleam in some GW designer's eye, and that "gothic Hoth generator" style kit is one of the best - now probably a lot less folk will go looking for those since GW will be providing their own variation :/

Rubric terminators have been all but confirmed by Sad Panda. I am curious if we will get a third kit. I assume there will be a clam pack or two alongside Magnus. My hope is that we finally see the rumoured loc, but they might hold that for later.

You'll have First Access to this at the Warhammer 40,000 Open Days, before it's on general release, and it's perfect to add golden detailing to your miniatures

From the Custodes dreadnought we saw in the rules PDF, they appear to have red thrown in there to break up the gold.

If there are really rubric Termis I won't stop aksing for Cult Terminators until Nurgle gets a kit of Blightkings quality, Khorne one that is faaaar removed from Wrathreapermongerskulls and Slaanesh...is at least mentioned in a blurb somewhere.

Looking for a Skaven Doomwheel banner to repair my Nurgle knights.

Somewhere

I asked this on another thread in Gen Discuss but no response.

Is there a standard load out for Rubric Termies? CCWs?

Icon of Tzeentch for Soulblaze maybe though I wish it worked on all weapons rather than just bolters. Warpflame Gargoyles work on all weapons I believe.

What are we wish listing for from a fluff perspective on Rubiric Termie load outs?

I'm having a hard time conceptualizing how GW would make "Thousand Sons" without just carrying over a bunch of CM units. You can't have all rubrics anyway so 40K Tzaangors would have to be a thing for it to make sense.

Any loadout that doesn't consist of just bolters is a win. Rubrics typically err on the side of ranged since they aren't quite combat masters being dust and all.

I... need the shirt.

I... live in the states.

This pains me.

Blood Angels, Custodes, Tzeentch, Alpha Legion, Astra Militarum, Deathwatch, Thousand Sons, Imperial Knights, Tau, Genestealer Cult.

I have a problem.

Being contrary for the sake of being contrary doesn't make you unique, it makes you annoying.

Back when rubric termies had rules standard load out was combi-bolter + power weapon. No other options period.

Right, because the idea of humans being used as an energy source or food source is not a classic sci-fi trope whatsoever. Nope. Never has happened.

Who knows, maybe it is the byproduct of the thousands of Psykers that are sacrificed to maintain the Golden Throne. Maybe they drain the corpses of their blood and ship it off to the different forgeworlds. Psychically infused blood might provide some sort of additional energy.

Just spit balling, but that is how I am calling it.

Your onto it. Same concept. Soul power, and all that.

Hey any Vampire Count fan will tell ya that blood is just the currency of the Soul. A medium of exchange if you will.
