I think they're just getting plain ole greedy with there target goals. With all this extra money they are getting I hope we see an expansion that blo0ws us away. (don't forget Kickstarter gets 5% or more of the profits!)

TLDR: 50k is far too much for a simple one miniature goal.

Greedy? For a free Biohazard level mini? I mean yea sure if a 50k away goal was another $10 character then that would be a bit of a stretch, but we're talking about more free stuff.

But it is not FREE, we had to pledge a combined total of 50k MORE. Sure, it would be great if we could get another 1500 people to back Sedition Wars so that it became free. In the end the numbers show just how niche board game and tabletop gaming is compared to the video game I guess. If this was a kickstarter for Modern Warfare 49: battle for the battle that happened last week, I'm sure it would have ten thousand yelling kids dragging there parents into pledging.

I am pretty sure that they did let you do this, and then let you PayPal the extra $ right then and there.

You'd think I'd remember, since I filled that survey out - but I didn't need to buy any extras then...

This time, I'm like you - I want the game and many of the extras, but I just bought a house, so I don't have all the free money now... though I will later!

Can anyone confirm we'll be able to add all the extras we want later on?

Yes. And what's further, you can use PayPal for any of the add-ons; a nice addition for folks like me that have their hobby budget mostly in PayPal due to other hobby sales.

@Alph--- Zombiecide's one lets you add as until you've confirmed your order. The end date to change for it is June 30, or tomorrow.

The way things are going, that stretch goal should be hit in the early hours. Bets on the next stretch?

I reckon it'll be an alt version of Kara. And after that, an alt version of Barker, assuming it goes that far...

cincydooley - thanks for the confirmation!

As for additional stretch goals, I think we'll get one "THIS IS IT!" type goal, of a free figure for Biohazzard level and up... and that will be it.

Possibly set at the $800K level, but more likely at $750K.

I think Zombicide did something similar at the end...

Yes, Zombicide had a $150,000 stretch from the last goal for $700,000 for 2 more free minis, I don't think it was expected to be reached.

I am having trouble deciding on extras for this, I am limiting myself to $150, and can't decide if I want the Calamity crew and opticamo pack, or the Calamity crew and the terrain pack.

Go with the terrain pack. You really can't paint the opticamo stuff without defeating the purpose.

Bear in mind the terrain pack will be made available later, though......

I have been leaning towards the terrain, but I am just concerned about the length of the wait between receiving the game and the terrain for it (though I will be able to find other uses for it).

It gives you just enough time to paint all those figures!

I went for the terrain over opticamo. In fact I may use the extra normal plastic troopers and experiment with 'invisible' paintjobs, gives me something to do while waiting for the rest of the goodies!

EDIT: Can't find a single good tutorial for painting the type of invisible that I want! Anyone know of a good example I could copy off?

Not camouflage exactly, more of a see-through whiteish thing. I may try to experiment with nmm effects, see what happens!

You could looks for painting ideas for ghosts.. The recent big Vampire Counts model has some cool ghostly paint on it.

My GITD strain will be be (semi) painted with a kind of reverse highlight technique. Leaving the deepest parts of the fig with no paint and using translucent/transparent paint that will slowly darken/become less transparent towards the normal Strain colors at the highest points on the model. The highest areas will look like normal (LOL) Strain, but the deeper areas will still be glow green. We will see if I can actually pull this off...

Nice idea man! Why didn't I think of ghosts before? I remember there were some good LotR ones now I come to think of it.

Cain, try looking up some taught stealth suit examples. There are some really cool ones where they're basically painted to show the background through the model. That might be best suited to dioramas thoughh. Im thinking (ambitiously) that I might try to paint my opticamo guys like they're in the midst of cloaking, with on end painted as normal, fading into being painted like the background, and then eventually lightening to the clear minis. Definitely going to test that out first.

Your $200 didn't include the McVey sculpting quality, molds to make the figure, mass produce the figure and ship it to thousands of different places.
