My youngest son just got into 40k with his friends. Between myself and my three boys we have almost every imaginable army for WHFB (we mostly played KoW rules), so they could have certainly been used for AOS.

But no, now he picked up a Tyranid set and now I 'get' to paint a bunch of 'Nids... Oh well, they are nice models. I already did a few Genestealers in his requested bright red/purple color theme and he really liked the way they came out. I did an ultra-fast 3 color, wash & drybrush job on them.

The new Khagra's Ravagers AoS/Warcry unit,

A full "Convergence of Dominion" fortification network for my 40K Necrons.
I really like the models in this kit. But reading their rules just leaves me wondering "Outside of some scenario, why would I invest the points in fielding these things?" - as opposed to just more Necrons of almost any flavor. I don't know the answer to that.
My thinking is that there's got to be some use that I'm just not seeing atm. So I figure that if I build them, paint them up, and then have a bunch of expensive plastic sitting on the shelf above my PC/hobby work desk I'll be more inspired to see that missing link.
At the worst? I'll have cool looking terrain pieces that I was planning on having some of anyways....
And one way or another, be it as functioning models or just terrain, I WILL put them on the table.

Bought an Early War Soviet Tank Wars list for Bolt Action, and a Late War USMC Tank Wars Amphibious Tank Company list as well, and also a Soviet Naval Infantry Brigade Platoon + Bronekater as well.

The Bolt Action bug has bit me.

For AoS;
StD Marauders - foot x60 (3 boxes)
StD Marauder - horse x20 (2 boxes)
Khorne Exalted Deathbringer x1

And when added to a few things I already own, that wraps up building a Slaves to Darkness Marauder themed AoS army.

This is not meant to be the strongest list, just a very thematic raiding force.
Lots of flesh, fur & leather paint wise. But once I get in the groove & find my color schemes it should be quick enough.....

Picked up Space Marine Adventures: Rise of the Orks from my local Barnes & Noble, mainly just for the miniatures, which I can convert into Deathwing to bolster my numbers and give me a few weapon options. I also picked up Warhammer Underworlds: Beastgrave from my FLGS as it was half price (no doubt because the new one just came out). Mostly just wanted that for the cool models.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

Bought some Warp Stone Glow and applied it to my Autarch and demo Guardian and by Khaine it made one hell of a difference. Would've bought the newish Autarch the one I mentioned earlier but my local GW didn't have it in stock, so ordered online there.

Really is a nice model, might replace the head with the bare one from the Guardian box when I finally get him lol

I decided to pick up the Soul Wars box for myself, I figure lockdown is a good time to start learning it as I would like to have the ability to play it and 40k when we can again.
I'd be interested in both the armies too and have a decent few models from collecting Mortal Realms for a few issues.

Of course they'll probably announce a new box in the near future but I dont mind too much.

I was also very lucky to find a can of black primer so that's coming alongside it, finding it hard to locate anywhere online

Yesterday I ordered the Eldar army box another Autarch with wings and an Autarch on a jet bike as well a bunch of paints to diversify my yellows and golds. Went to another store and bought some more paint brushes which were far cheaper than GW's and been using one in particular and damn it's nice. Used it to freehand my Exarch's flag.

For 40k (Necrons): Two of the Transcendent C'Tan that come in the Obelisk/Tesseract kit. To go with the one I've already got.

My evil plan is to run 3 Transcendent, 1 Nightbringer, 1 Deceiver, & 1 Void Dragon all in one force. Leaves me juuust enough pts to get a HQ guy of some sort & then any remaining pts will go into some scarabs.

The look on my opponents face is going to be priceless!

Bought three MIG Oilbrushers and a bottle of their odourless thinner. with the intention of starting to learn the Grimdark painting style.

Also bought AK Red Primer for some colour/weathering tests. I've read the paint consistency isn't as good on the Red Primer as the Black/White/Grey Primers, which are 3rd Gen acrylics, but still hoping it will spray Ok once thinned sufficiently.

Lastly, bought the new KillTeam expansion, splitting it with members of our playing group. I will keep only the Marines and the book, never wanted anything else from the box so it's all good.

No it was A1 here in Scotland but I'm not surprised to see them flying off the shelves at such low prices! Not terrible models either for the price. If anyone is looking for DnD/KoW/Generic Fantasy, these are ticking the right boxes I think.

Found out about Element Games and wanted to buy a whole heap of things for Kill Team but just found they aren't able to ship outside Europe and the UK due to GW restrictions which sucks. Would've saved me a lot of money if I could.

Welcome to GW's world-wide embargo. Just another reason they suck as a company.
