Despite being horribly, incredibly tired, I made myself paint as it's a good way to keep myself awake (as if I go to sleep too early, I wake up around midnight and can't sleep again for hours, it suuucks). I worked on a model which, quite frankly, seems cursed. A Farseer proxy I bought on Etsy months back that's obviously based on Farseer Macha from Dawn of War 3. I keep dropping her and having to reglue her. She's also made of resin and is very damned fragile. Because of this, I gave up trying to do anything with her until recently. I managed to almost finish her, and I'm pretty happy with her. I accidentally made her look like Emma Watson; whether that's because of me or the sculpt, I'm not sure. I would post photos, but if I am too tired, I might later.

Finished these two old metal Harlequins.

I did indeed manage to pick up the Team Yankee units I needed this afternoon. + a cheap tape measure!
So now I'm assembling:
*a MLRS unit
*a small infantry section

The shop didn't have any USA specific dice, so a bunch of generics will have to do for now.

My friend came over, and we played another game of The Angaran Chronicles: The Skirmish Game. Playing a scenario I made of the cultists of Jaroai summoning a Jaroai as Anargrin and his team desperately try to stop it (which was the scenario my BatRep was based on). I set up the map, and I played Anargrin (the dude in the blue shirt) and his merry five-man band of misfits, my friend, the cultists (and his daughter too, but she was only seven and lost interest quite quickly and wandered off). We had fun, but the way I placed the terrain left me at a huge disadvantage; I also lost the deployment roll, which prevented me from having Emilia transform into a werewolf before the game (so she has to use a turn to transform) and stopping Anargrin to go into infiltration mode. It's been a bit of a slog. I already lost my sniper, Raleas. We only managed to finish two rounds, so he's going to come over another day. I have four rounds to kill the summoners, then the Jaroai is released and there's a fifth extra round so the attackers can either run or try to kill it.

This commissar is about 2/3 finished. Waiting on his washes to dry.



Gaunt is next since I bought a Gaunt's Ghost kit.

Began painting that earlier mentioned Inquisitor Azakir mini and enjoying it. I'm quite happy with the edge highlights on his bodyglove and skin, but his eyes need a little more work. They look crazy, but I sorta did that on purpose as he's a real "Blood Knight" enjoying a good fight to a huge degree. I'm also beginning to enjoy edge highlighting now. Which is a sentence I never thought I'd type, lol.

Put together a 2nd Alvis Stalwart from empress miniatures, because in the grim darkness of the far future you can't expect to go far without robust, all terrain logistical capabilities. Over coated the cockpit of my gloster meteor(grimdark heavy fighter/ground attack craft) with elysian green to get that zinc green finish. Fitted pilot into cockpit and partly assembled him(as of yet he is still unarmed, but I finished work on his mask and flight suit).

Now that I've properly sorted my Team Yankee USA stuff, I'll do the same for my TY Soviets this evening.

Made more progress on Azakir, and now he's almost finished. I also did more work on my Aspiring Champion or whatever he's named for my Chaos Marine Kill Team; he's almost finished too, now. He's been sitting around primed and somewhat base-painted for a while now, so it's good to finally work on him. I haven't ordered many minis for a while now, so I'm hoping to get a good amount of my Pile of Shame finished before I buy anything more.

Trying to kitbash a mutant. I need more tentacles.

Going to try and work on the next three old lead Harlequins.

games night, had a run at 40k 10th, 1,500 with my Death Guard facing youngest's Blood Angels.

neither list overly optimised, fun game and managed a second win for the Death Guard for two from two now, this won't last

also picked up some pathfinders for the slowly expanding Tau force I hope to start seeing the table next week in a local escalation league

all good fun, and then the plague spreads

Had the miniature gaming afternoon with the kids today. Had a lot of fun! A game of Grimdark Future: Firefight. It was 250 points of "Havok Brothers" (Chaos Space Marines) and Ork Marauders (Kommandoes) Vs Human Defense Force (Imperial Guard) led by Attelus Kaltos and High Elf Fleets (Craftworld Eldar)

We couldn't finish so will have to finish it next Wednesday.

Started working on the next three old lead Harlequins to complete a troupe.

Made a Chinese toy unimog ambulance into a IG signals truck.
Someone has to route calls for firesupport to the right batteries.
Made a 2nd one into an ambulance. Minimal conversion required.

Trying to diversify the options for the kids for playing Chaos for the game night, so just finished painting the earlier-mentioned Aspiring Champion and the two Chaos Psykers from the Blackstone Fortress box. I also did some fixing of more mostly completed minis such as my Farseer proxy, that's Farseer Faleaseen from Secret War and the Failcast Lelith Hesperax's face, which now looks much better now.

Continued working on the next three old lead Harlequins to complete a troupe.

Today I started building Italians for Bolt Action.

I never envisioned starting the Italian project off with a heavy Artillery tractor/truck (by Perry Miniatures), but....

Look very closely at the tires. They're marked "semi-pneumatic" & "Perrlli".
More clearly on the inside of the tire, but there on the outside.

Played Pulp Alley after several months of not playing it. Really solid game. Wish we played it more often. Also working on stargrave figures to get the new scavengers built

Began assembling more Chaos Space Marines, one with a flamer and another with a meltagun. Frigged up and used a few of the wrong arms on earlier Chaos Marines, but it wasn't hard to adapt.

Cleaning and ordering the ole manufactutorium floor. Painted up my meteor pilot.

Building the Redemptor Dreadnought from Imperium. Just have the right arm to go.

Built 9 Termagants and 5 Barbgaunts.

Had a serious drop in my mental health the past few weeks, so this is a bit of a recovery milestone.

Yesterday afternoon I ran another Miniature Gaming session with the kids. Six this time, the most yet playing Grimdark Future: Firefight two games running at once one being two vs two one being one vs one. Most of the. Didn't know the rules so I had to race from one table to another to give advice, teaching rules etc. Was very tiring but it went well. The kids had a good time which is the most important thing. No other hobbying last night, far too tired lol

And the other unit of Neurogaunts done.

With the weather brightening up, should soon be suitable for spraying soon.

I made a few new lists for the kids at the club to choose from Grimdark Future: Firefight at 300 points. I also worked on the bases of a few of my minis and painted more of my Baharroth proxy.

bit of painting, T'au drones, then a 750 point game which the buggers in white & purple managed to win against Grey Knights

so far have lost every game of combat patrol (2) and won every game of actual 40k (3)

A bit of repair work on some ages old Tau stuff.
And making a list of replacement bitz needed.
