I read an article that said Nestle was trying to distance themselves from this. Something along the lines of them saying they will comply with everything and they had no part and wanted no part of what the US did there.
I mean, that could just be a load of gak as well. People lie. Especially Nestle. I wouldnt trust them. But maybe they realize how completely bonkers this move was.

I mean these are the same people who said water isn't a human right so I don't think they believe the situation is bonkers
This is kinda UK politics but it ties in with US politics.
But for American dakka members who may not follow UK politics, our Prime Minister has a government tearing itself apart over Brexit, the Novichok problem still causing trouble, and a ton of problems with the health system, police, education, our version of social security etc etc
She is under siege, one of her key ministers has just resigned, a possible leadership challenge could happen this week, and now Donald Trump is visiting this week.
Our Prime Minister is socially awkward at the best of times, has nothing in common with Trump, and has to entertain him for two days...
I have never voted for her and her party, and wouldn't if you paid me, but God Almighty, she has a tiny bit of sympathy from me.
How do you keep Trump happy for 2 days? He's meeting European leaders over NATO and is widely expected to open fire on the Europeans for not paying enough into their defence budgets.
Our Prime Minister will probably be caught up in the diplomatic cross fire, when European leaders hit back, if you pardon the pun.
When it rains, it pours. Thanks America.

Take him to a hotel room, tell him that the Obamas stayed there, and give him the phone number for some prostitutes - some problems solve themselves, with a little bit of help!

Apologies for another reference to UK politics, but it has some relevance.
Our Government is in full crisis mode over Brexit. Our Foreign Secretary has just resigned. It's a shambles.
Point is, at this rate, there might not be anybody left for Trump to meet with

I fully expect you to disagree, but from where I'm standing, your country is a beacon of stability compared to our mess.

Just read a novel about that - Rule Britannia by Daphne du Maurier.
Must admit was looking forward to Seeing Boris and Trump together. Be interesting to see if your president tweets anything,

"Functioning" lol. I wouldn't call it functional.

That's not gonna end up in court, what with all the bargaining agreements the various agencies signed guaranteeing space on the properties.
But by the time it goes to SCOTUS he will have his replacement in place, and just like the deficit and all the other issues that are fundamental to the GOP they will no longer give a gak about "maintaining the balance of the Supreme Court" when they confirm the new guy or gal.
