That in conjunction with your cunning use of addition earlier would explain perhaps why I was told "full" assault squads.

yeah I went and reworked them. I add the assault quads and the vanguard wrong, so you do have a savings of about $120 now It would be a good box for someone that wanted a a very large army from the get go!

that is not a savings , just spending less ....you would still be 900 in the hole. a new ps3 plus games would be more fun.

yeah, that is a savings. and yes you could buy a ps3 and games for 900 but guess what you are still 900 in the hole as you would say. this time you wouldnt have 142 models!
If you enjoy this game and want one big buy it now army, then there you go! and maybe you can find one of the online retailers that will take 20% off for you.

Are those price figures for the big army deal coming via speculation or have people seen a US market SKU and price released?

Imperial Strongpoint (2 Bastions, 3 Defence Lines) £55 US$90 AU$150

Imperial Outpost (Citadel Gameboard, 2 Bastions, 3 Defence Lines) £206 US$380 AU$599

Imperial Defence Network (Citadel Gameboard, 5 Bastions, 7 Defence Lines, 1 Skyshield Landing Pad) £316 US$559 AU$899

Yes, the Blastscape Craters are vacuformed plastic like the current Moonscape craters, but that Rhino piece is different, being moulded plastic like the Temple of Skulls and is from the separate Battlescape product.

inzeos wrote:Are those price figures for the big army deal coming via speculation or have people seen a US market SKU and price released?

The only info in the GW product list(s) is the 142 models content. No firm price or breakdown has been officially announced by GW yet. The info that has been going around the place has been insider rumours, but there's something about the price that doesn't seem right.

I enjoy the game but I bought enough ultras to have multiple companies. 144 is a lot of painting when i could be playing that new space marine game coming out. Honestly GW should cater to the other armys more.... My wallet can't keep up, a girlfriend is sounding less expensive.

Perhaps, but the rules for them are even harder to understand than GW's ones, and the FAQ support is a joke.

One time you don't hope for a move to plastic though.

ummm.... perhaps you're right.

There's another sneaked in use of some of the shrine parts in the pic included, thanks to Mr.Psyberwolf for the spot and work.

The shrine kit has just one of the eagle walls, and then a couple of other walls with the massive gothic walls. 1 kit gives you the standard L shape ruin thingy.

OH, scout speeder has 6 modeled crew/passengers.

I really prefer the plastic kits, as they extra modularity is great! You never get enough bits, and shaping the plastic...

That's the Shrine, then? Two walls? Man, and everyone thought it was the big Dark Angels building we saw earlier... Hilarios.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

Not really, it's cool because it's 2 walls with a beak sticking out. The only thing that could make it cooler would be a skull with a beak.

Hmm... I like it, kind of. I have always wanted to build a nice ruined Imperial Church building, but I'm not sure two walls is worth $30, no matter HOW big they are.

Those are pretty tall though. And the windows look nice. But $30 nice? Not sure.

And why are those lights on the outside of the shrine? Those look like interior lights.

Oh, and why the tiny door?

My bet? A floor, a scaffolding and a ladder.

EDIT:

Looks like they've taken these down too. Can't GW control it's own website?

And I like the blastscapes. TOTALLY cool.

Chapter Keep!!! HERE I COME!!!

Its up to the modeler to make it overwhelming. A simple wall on the ground on its own isn't cool. A fully modeled cathedral complete with battlements, defensive lines, forge world trenches, turret emplacements, razorwire, minefields, bunkers, and some of those bastion things will be awesome.

What's the Marine doing up top there? How did he get there? How is he going to get down? Is he attempting to commit suicide and the Sergeant is talking him down?

"Brother Parthos! Don't do it! Life is worth living... in service of the Emperor."
"But no one understands me Brother-Sergeant Dennifus. The Scouts sir, they make fun of me. The Scouts."
"They are but young Brother, heed not their words! They will soon learn the value of all the Emperor's servants."
"And the Terminators! They mock me and keep stealing my grieves. How can I go to war without grieves!!!"
"The Emperor is your shield Brother - with him you need no armour!"
"No! I don't believe you. I'm going to jump."
"Noooo!!!!!!"
"HURR!"
