The best and cheapest way of geting small tubes, is using guitar strings. A lot of music shops will give you old strings for free.

Join the Imperial Guard. The pay's lousy, the battles fierce and you probably won't ever come back again. BUT you get a lasgun.

@hyenajoe - thanks, I'm really happy with the way the autocannon is coming on.

@migsula - thanks, love your models especially the chaos

@LiveforFun666 - thanks, great looted tanks > and am intrested in seeing your keeper of sectrets finished.

@Necanor - I've got loads of guitar string but I wanted something a bit bigger.

This lego pipe is great, but it is rubber.

Some GS work done, again I seem to have slowed down alot. So progress is taken longer than I hoped.

Cut the arms of the imperial guard that has been splated, need to add GS endtrails.

Still alot more GS work to be done, I'm trying not to rush it.

Well, I just got caught up through this blog and have to say I'm a fan. Great work.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Not to sound like a smart ass, but have you thought about bass strings. A Low E string for the bass is substantially larger than a guitar's low E, especially if you go for the largest guage you can find.

You are right, bass strings are often better.

Nice job.

I only fear that paint might not stay on the Lego pipe.

If the paint does not stay you could always just GS something fancy over it, making it look like it has some musculature or something.

Hi tipios, see that you're still hard at work on models that do something completely stupid and annoying 1/3rd of the time... ha.

I finally finished the Death Guard Dreadnought. I won't post the pic here, you know where to find it. Just wanted to drop a line to let you the inspiration you gave me came to "life" and now I'm going to go back and do a bit of GS work on my old metal Chaos Dreadnought.

The cannon on your Nurgle Dreadnought is sick. I love it. I might have to go back to the main gun on mine and ruin it a bit more. I've been thinking about getting add'l weapons and magnatizing them, maybe I'll -steal your idea- try something different on that.

No work today, so I was able to get the nurgle dread ready for paint.

Only details on the base left, and the puss barrel needs filling with puss

Done some teeth on the leg plate,

For Slaanesh the doom siren has got a tongue.

Has anyone got some tips for the green on the nurgle.

Through watching your blog I was inspired to touch up my chaos dread and I also started converting the aobr one into a nurgle dread. They are so much fun to build I might have to get one of the new furioso's and corrupt that one too mwah ha ha Can't wait to see them all finished and painted.

@Killmaim, yeah the new furioso looks like it has many nice bits to use for a chaos conversion, good luck if you go with that. Nurgle should be ready by the end of the week. here's a prize for being the 200th post

Wow , these teeth on the Nurgle dread's leg plate are awesome! A clean scultping job, very impressive!
On the other hand you might work a little more on the lips (which are too smooth for Nurgle, IMO) once the GS will be hardened.

I had not noticed the way you have inserted the flamer in the CCW, good job there too!

The tongue and chains on the doom siren are amazing too!

What about the Slaaneshi dread's leg plates?

Thanks Hyena.

For the mouth I sculpted the teeth first, then when dried added the lips. I agree with the too smooth look, fixing now.

Here's what I've done with the slaanesh plates.

I'm planning more chains, and have just got the main mouth and engine to do.

WHat is that face you used on the Slaanesh leg plate with the spike coming through its mouth?

Are you going to do a bit more on the the Slaanesh leg plate to blend it in? right now it's just kind of stuck on there maybe you could have it look like the metal is stretching out into a daemonic face?

Thanks Stretch, here are some more pics.

I know I had planned to have paint on my nurgle dread, but I still had to fill the barrel up, and felt I need to add some more detail here and there.

I have filled the barrel with pvc glue, and placed more glue over the top of the barrel to give a spilling effect.

A few more details added to the claw arm.

The leg plate lips were made to look less smooth.

I've started constructing the mouth of the slaanesh dread. This is a big sculped job, and I'm taken it slow, I hope it turtns out ok, or I will have to buy more dread parts and start again lol.

Hope you enjoy, any suggestions welcome.
