Are you seriously saying that there's some kind of fluidity with mouse/keyboard that the controller doesn't have? So where's God of War: PC Edition?

I'm saying, this game is for the Xbox, PS3, and PC, but when it comes to shooters like Space Marine, and that includes the directional melee, PC is king.

If all you play is PC, then yes--it's king.

I don't take complaints of "the controls are clunky" seriously because that's a problem for so many other games on the XBAWKS and PS3, its not a flaw in the game, its in the system.

I don't take them seriously because the controls are far less clunky than they are on PC, by and large. The only place PCs really get an edge is when there's micromanagement RTS games.

Yes, I am, its called a Mouse. Its MUCH more fluid than using a joystick to aim, and another to move around.

No, PC is better for shooting games because of how easy it is to aim with the Mouse...

How in the nine hells do you get that controls are less clunky on a controller for a FPS or TPS? The mouse gives you pinpoint accuracy that you can't achieve when you have to separate joysticks to move and shoot.

How are simple buttons more fluid for movement then a joystick?? You, Mr. PC elitist, baffle me.

Also, precision doesn't equal fluidity(is that a word?).

Dunno about fluid, but I think the mouse most certainly is more precise. That said, I really don't intend to get into this argument, just making a tangential aside.

I'm not a PC Elitist, but I know where my PC is better, and when my XBAWKS is better.

I know that Space Marine will be superior on the PC because of the Mouse/Keyboard, it will just take a lot of the frustration of the "clunky melee combat" out because we don't have to use a controller.

You know, folks, that it's not the system that you're arguing about, it's the controllers? And that it's possible to plug a keyboard and mouse into the USB slots on an xbox, and a game controller into the USB slots on a Computer?

Yes, I am quite well aware of that.

I would also argue that XBL is full of GAK. But that's even more subjective.

Are people still trying to deny KB/mouse is superior for FPS games? Crazy people.

The question isn't why do I kill. The question is, why I don't kill everybody.

I find the linear inputs on the keyboard WASD (on, off, no range of motion) to be worse for movement in FPS/TPS, but the accuracy of the mouse makes up for it.

I don't think anyone is denying the mouse is more ACCURATE, there is no question about it, but that's about it.

In my opinion, Dead Space 2 played like garbage with mouse/KB. Either it was poorly implemented, or the analog sticks just work much better, I don't know. FPS, mouse works better because of accuracy, TPS, not so sure; because your movement is much more impacted by the clunky on/off KB buttons.

Yeah, I know it's more precise etc. but that doesn't mean I like it better.

That's fair enough. I have both consoles and I still can't get used to aiming with a controller, it just feels horrible and inaccurate. As I said before, consoles have their place and PCs have theirs.

It's an awesome fun clan I've been in since UT's release, no rules, no competitions, just fun. I come and go there when I feel like it, it's composed out of mostly aged 25+ europeans, mostly UK and Dutch. Some of the best players in UT 2k4 hang out on the servers too

Or PS3 for that matter

I really hope there will be a multiplayer demo before release, the only reason I want it is for multiplayer, I very rarely play singleplayer in any game.

I think you're going to be disappointed if you're buying the game for the multiplayer...

As for aiming on console, try it with Playstation Move and the sharpshooter, fun as hell (and definitely more fluid than keyboard/mouse, and more precise too...).

I have to say, I laughed out loud.

SO, LET'S GET BACK ON TOPIC.

I'm hearing people saying about the multiplayer, is that the Assault class seems to be a lot more OP than the other classes. Thoughts?

I doubt its imba, the Assault class has the lowest health, and has to get into melee range to do any damage, they SHOULD do more damage because of the risks they take.

Basically think of it this way:

Devastator = lots of health and shields, highest firepower, lowest mobility, low melee power

Tactical: Middling health and shields, middling firepower, middling mobility, middling melee power

Assault: Low health and shields, pistols or bolter only (with true grit), highest mobility, highest melee power.

Basically how I thought of it as well.

I don't like that people who have never played 40K are calling the Devastator a tank, though...pretty dumb.

The problem was that the camera is attached to the right thumbstick, and melee attack was a face button - but you can't aim your melee strikes, it just goes perfectly forward. So they were saying the easily maneuverable assault class could just strafe around the other classes and not get hit.

I don't know if it'll truly be OP but it definitely looks like it'll be the noob choice with the targeting system. Since you can ground pound with 100% accuracy (due to the targeting reticule on the ground showing you where you land), I suspect noobmarines will be dropping like stukas into combat. Sadly, this is my preferred class as I had a blast on Star Wars Battlefront I and II playing the dark trooper class. Seeing people miss the platforms and their gangways on Kamino and Bespin Cloud City or slam into walls on other maps was quite entertaining and discouraged the noobs from hogging that class too much.

Yes, it does... but only the male variety. The female ones with dye-job bobs and power corsets will probably be a day 30 4chan DLC mod.

No...he just complained about his inferior controller.

I'm not trolling, for FPS and TPS, a Mouse/Keyboard IS superior to a controller. More precise aiming, and the problem people are complaining about "directional melee with no assisting", is much easier to handle with a mouse.

Okay, just drop the argument and get on with our lives, thank you. Anyway, do you guys know of any of the weapons announced or if they might add more (my brother is hoping for lightning claws, flamers, and power fists and I wonder if they will add combi weapons)?

As DLC, maybe. They ARE considering DLC after the success of DoW2's DLC.
