Update time!

I think I'm DONE! It's taken about a month all together, but I did't get much time at night, and sometimes no time on the weekends even to work on it (and sometimes I just didn't feel like it). So, maybe 15 to 20 hours total? Seems about right, maybe more.

Anyway, here she is:

Gotta love boobies! I am really glad you guys (and a few girls - including my wife) got me to re-do them! They did look a bit silly on the first go.

Same goes for the hat! It only took like 20 comments about the hat being too high to get me to re-do it!

Congratulations! It seems like it was a long way, but the result is amazing: such a sexy and dangerous appearence, and mad somehow. Hats off to your sculpting skills.

I've been paying attention to your project since you started it. It's amazing to see your efforts from start to finish. At the start I was "meh", but I wanted to see how it would turn out. It's awesome. I hope you win your contest, paint this baby up, and post some more pics for us. I totally think you're going to get props as long as you keep bringing her to the table. Great job man!

Great work overall! She certainly turned out better that if I would have tried a sculpt from scratch! It is very cool to see you progress through the sculpt of this whole model! Focus on the light at the end of the tunnel! Keep your momentum going on the last few details. 95% finished is the worst enemy to 100% finished!

A few last pieces of CC:
You have a well executed conversion with the axe there, but you still have a sharp edge where the square bit (power generator or something) meets the haft. It takes away from the realism. Also, it still feels a bit elven, even with the Khorne icon. Have you thought about shaving off the top part and having it be more executioner style?

I think the back of her left arm could use a little extra meat. She looks a bit too twiggy on that side. I think it would look more natural.

The tails of her jacket could use some sanding. There are some sculpty seams that are still visible.

Sorry for the list, I hadn't been by to see her for a while. It seems a little bit like a jerk move to throw a bunch of comments down after the artist has said "I think I'm done!", so I hope these aren't discouraging!

@MightyGodzilla- Thank you! I will have at least the base coat on before the weekend, we'll see where we are by then!

@Rawson- Thank you for the C&C! And it's not a jerk move, the arm has been bothering me,I'll see if I can make it look right, it kind of looks like a clay-mation arm...maybe I'll add a bit more to the back of the arm.

The coat doesn't sand well in that area, becasue it is thin and flexes when I try to sand it...I'll try some more.

As for the axe, I'll clean up the Generator area, you are right it seems out of place. I think just cutting off the top of the axe would make it kind of small, but if I clipped the whole blade and moved it all down, that might just do the trick! Kind of like this:


I put the mock-up next to the original...I'll think about it.

I'll see what improvements I can do, and seriously, thanks for the critique.

She's looking fantastic all that hard work payed off in the end.

@NakedBatBoy- Thanks! I hope you like the altered axe as much as I do! I still need to sand it down a bit and add the arrows back on. But I think it turned out well! Much more Khornate.



I also tried to sand down the rough part of her coat seams, I still have some clean-up to do there, but it's coming along. I might try to add some wrinkles on the sides.

Other side of the axe...ignore the cat hair stuck to her boot.



Here you can see the re-worked left arm. It looks much less like she appeared in a Wallace and Grommit episode. And my attempt to sand down this side of the coat. Fail. but I will work on it.



And last but not least...a scale shot! I can't belive no one has asked me for one yet!



As you can see, she towers over the guardsman! I guess that is OK, since she should be a very imposing figure.
Even considering she that she has on high heels and a tall hat, her eye level is a good head above the gruardsman's.

Well, there you have it. I probably won't add any more pictures till I have the base coats of paint on her, just for a paint-in-progress shot. Thanks again to Rawson for the Final Critique, and thanks to everyone for the support. I know I'm not the only one who posts on Dakka for inspiration and techincal help.

If I don't have PIP shots by monday, one of three things happened; 1) I didn't get finished with cleaning up her coat. 2) I didn't get as far as I wanted to on the base coats. 3) My wife had a baby.
I'm hoping none of these happen, and I can show some progress on Monday! (this sounds heartless, but she's not due to give birth 'till the 11th, and I'm not ready!)

I think people are just being sexist! She can dress however she wants! I think I prefer it this way actually...

But yeah, she's frackin' huge! I like that's she's a bit larger than others. Maybe that's why no simple guardsman would dare make a move on her without her ok. I also like the new axe a lot! It's a lot more menacing.

Also, where did you get those skulls? They look good!

Wow....just skipped from the first pictures of her with the beginnings of her coat to this and for a moment didn't believe it was the same model...this is amazing!!!!!
