Criticizing a model's exaggerated and hamfisted continuation of a tired trope that resulted in a model that looks like if you tried to turn a pinup into a 90s action figure definitely is equivalent to hypocritically taking pleasure in enforcing laws by censoring a woman's right to self-representation.
I guess I should apologize to the render for oppressing its self-representation by denying PP the right to publish the model when I so moralistically campaigned to prevent its release.
Look, when you call a model creepy and talk about how the design "looks like some creepy fantasy", you aren't criticizing the model. You are criticizing the designer, and you are criticizing the people who like the model - and I don't think that's okay.

The limbs are clearly entirely cybernetic. Her torso, the housing of her digestive and reproductive systems, looks entirely organic. Either she’s been through some Boxing Helena gak and is out for revenge, or she’s got a weird mix of upgrades and exposed fleshy bits that convey something off-putting if her upgrades were entirely elective.
I suppose the other option is that her whole body is cybernetic, but she spent what budget she had for the cosmetic upgrades she found most important for her social life. Some people fret a lot more about the appearance of their abdomens than the appearance of their limbs.

Agreed; it looks like someone tried to make a sexy version of a Strogg from Quake. I don't mind "sexy" models, even if I can find them very silly at times, but this one's hitting the Uncanny Valley for me.

That's quite enough on this tangent. I've had to both edit and remove some posts of people swearing at and insulting each other over this.
If you really want to continue this line of discussion, take it to the OT forum, or maybe Dakka Discussions, but this stopped being Privateer Press related some time ago.
Thanks all

Looks like this is the last month for the Savage crate. The VIP subscription option has been removed from the website and I got an email saying the auto-renewal was canceled.

I think the VIP subscription for that was gone when I was looking at it a few months ago.

I wonder how much COVID affected it? I'm sure it's the smaller of the 3 subscription wise as it's not very focused so you can't use everything that comes with it in a signal game (like the Conan RPG) and with limited production and warehouse capabilities still Privateer probably doesn't want to have to produce these in addition to fulfilling a KSer and gearing up for Warcaster KSer 2.
I hope it can come back next year but hey, I have a Conan with an M60 now so I can't complain too much.

This week, we’ve got a preview of the Raker, an Aeternus Continuum squad attachment that will be featured in the next block of Warcaster releases.
Stalking the battlefield like a predatory hunting beast, the Raker is a synthetic savage created by the Aeternus Continuum to support its Vassal forces in battle. Along with a suite of sophisticated sensory aparati, the bestail simaculum relies on cloaking technology and powerful pneumatic mandibles to engage its prey up close.

I genuinely can't predict that. All of my Marcher World stuff was just flatout metal.
They said some kits will be resin and metal, but I don't know which ones specifically. I know that for wave 2 the vehicles are supposed to be resin/metal or flat resin in some instances.
I'll keep an eye out for you though!

It's my understanding that when PP makes a model from resin, they only use metal for bits that would be too flimsy in resin?
Generally, but they've been using more metal lately. They had some issues with their resin machinery after the move and haven't been able to rely on it as much. I'm hoping that's coming to an end soon, as their metal/resin mixes are some of my favorite to work with.

For me it works because it's reminiscent of the Dark Horse Ghost comic book character.

Progress continues on the manufacturing and packing of rewards for shipping wave two.
We received word this morning from our fulfillment partner in Asia that the shipment is due to arrive in port in late September. Despite being loaded back in early August, the ship sat for some time and only started its voyage at the beginning of September. We'll make an announcement as soon as we have confirmation that it has arrived in port.
For wave two, all international orders will ship out to freight forwarders first to cut down on some of the lengthy wait-time between deliveries. Thank you for your patience as everything makes its way to its final destination.
Featured below is the concept artwork for upcoming Wild Card hero, Harlan Sek, aka 'The Curator'. As a smuggler of black market artifacts, Sek is a wanted man in any Alliance or Marcher territory. But he has strong ties to the Aeternus Continuum, who pay him handsomely for the ancient relics they seek, and he also deals occasionally with Empyrean forces, who are just as interested in keeping the long-forgotten artifacts out of the hands of humanity.
Below, Harlan Sek oversees an archaeological excavation of a massive piece of ancient technology when the operation is set upon by unexpected Empyrean forces. Things get complicated when you try to play both sides...
