Google's algorithm is screwy, it works off links to/from (that's a simplification, but still).
I love the relative subtlety of your nurgle scheme. It's really outstanding, which given the quality of your work is saying a lot - I tend just to lurk rather than fawn at your feet, but, blimey, they're impressive. Nice job.

It has something to do with country according to my facebook investigation, everyone googling from the same area as me had the same results. Google be crazy!

Thank you so much! These were a joy to paint, I have never painted nurgly things before so it was a heck of a lot of fun painting on spots and bruises and ew.

I spent today cleaning like a madwoman to get the house ready to hand back to the landlord, and practising with my tablet.
I'm self learning by setting a goal of doing one thing different each image by reading tutorials, and using a Pokemon randomiser to choose a random subject for me so I don;t only work on shapes Im comfortable with. This evening was this charming Paras eagerly reaching for a tree shroom over my terrible homemade grass brush explosion and random screenprint attempt experiment gone horribly wrong.



At first glance this may seem a happy image, but this Paras wants more shrooms because he has a crippling addiction. His family have suffered because of it and he is now homeless and destitute. There is nothing happy about this picture.

Nice drawing btw, the grass looks real nice as does the bark and monstery thingy, only Crit (which isnt that much) is that the tree leaves seem to be too.. not shapey, {hmm blurry or cloudy.. not sure how to explain it - but im sure you understand} compaired to the rest of the visible lines in the rest of the pic

I'm not sure if its possible to get addicted to shrooms - in fact I always remember being vaguely relieved when it was all over 8 hours later, but less about my disreputable past.. I feel very sorry for the poor crab-thing, his existence must be truly confusing... Maybe he isn't even a crab, maybe he is an accountant who has forgotten he isn't a shroom addicted crab.

Facebook is exploding with emotion at the moment so I will reply to everyone in a bit, it would seem my decision to move to Galway and paint was indeed the right one -

Ooch... tough one for your mates. Are you a "language specialist" as well?

By "language specialists" they mean customer support staff and the localisation guys, and the IT support guys (same thing nowdadays). Cork is 90% customer support with a spackling of HR and localisation.

I was a Gamesmaster so would have been at risk. My friends have all been there a long time so hopefully their seniority and experience means they will all be ok. It's a really gak situation though and could have been avoided altogether. Really nasty.

So... I gotta ask.... what exactly IS a "gamesmaster"?

YES. That show was amazing but also rather frightening to a child. At least I think I was upset by it if I remember.

GM's are customer support agents who speak to players ingame Gits, meant for only in game issues but always end up dealing with any problem as players tend to prefer to speak to someone ingame than write an email. I spent 4 years doing it and I think it drove me a little insane, but just enough to be more interesting and not enough to be institutionalized.

I know what you mean about it driving you insane, I used to have a similar role working for Nintendo.

So did they give you any in game perks? I know when I used to GM for Ragnarok Online I had the ability to drop epic level monsters in towns and create and piece of gear I wanted on that character.

The leaves are awful, I have no idea what I'm doing with digi art so half the stuff I'm putting out so far is atrocious. The image is in no way coherent, theres block lines, super shaded grass, cel shading and then blobby wierd leaves, it makes no sense. But I'm learning something with each one so thats good at least. Trying to make them more visually pleasing and less dodgy experimenting from now on as I go, but the challenge is to try at least one new thing per image, and then keep using it till I am not afraid of it anymore

Hahah, well thats kind Gits, but I think I have a leeetle bit to go till I can play with the big boys. I actually spent a couple of years studying Classical Animation in college until I had the horrific epiphany that classical was dead and everything was going to end up digital(which it did). That was not a fun time, I'll tell you.

Man, I still know the Poke-rap off by heart. I love all the gens, they all have fantastic dudes in them. The only Pokemon I truely dislike is Vanillish and its evolution. I mean.. come on.
This evenings randomiser was Likitung which I am sure you will also get a kick out of. How great was this dude, oh god look at this design, it is glorious.


I also drew a semi erotic Bidoof, JB saw it and was slightly unnerved.

Weety, a fine lady such as yourself would of course have no experience with such things and must have read this information somewhere else. Paras will never be able to become an accountant, he has no thumbs and only a single claw to type with. He would also likely accidentally poison/paralyze his entire department and would end up being fired, leaving his depression to spiral further.

Hahah tell me about it. I have no patience for the players anymore. I am an absolute horror when I play nowadays.

Nothing that would identify us as GM's, the playerbase was just too huge. Anyone known as a GM would find it near impossible to play anymore with the amount of constant hassling they would get. We got figurines, in game pets and mounts from the store/events, gift codes for transfers/faction changes etc, things like that. I had an NPC named after me in recognition of excellent service which was definitely the highlight of working for the company. I have to say that in the years I was there I was treated very well, I'm just glad I'm not there while this sad event is unfurling :( Big difference between leaving amicably and being made redundant.
