Oh, Alpharius, you just made me lol and cause a scene. priceless. Sorry random Swedes walking by.
Yohdrin, I'm maybe too tired to read between wit, sarcasm and concern so I don't really know what you mean, sorry. I agree big demands for MMPB and want them ASAP to complete collection. I also know realistically no way I'm waiting 18 months from hardback release. I don't know what to tell you man, but Battle for Abyss needed this hardback especially because it required updates to the Heresy content, continuity, old info which has changed in the overarching HH narrative. I have no idea how well it will sell.personally, I won't be getting one. I know there are folks who want the complete collection of hardbacks (I would like a complete collection of MMPB) on their book shelf, even if they never crack open all of them.

Iron Corpses
A Horus Heresy short story
When the Eagle’s Talon ended the Titan battle on Tallarn, Warsmith Koparnos was left fighting for his life in the wreckage. Will he find salvation amidst the dead god-machines?
READ IT BECAUSE
Chaos Space Marines hijack a Titan! This is a race for survival where a Chaos Space Marine’s only hope is in the heart of a dying war machine. Seriously.
THE STORY
The ravaged world of Tallarn plays host to the greatest armoured conflict in the history of mankind. The bitter and vengeful Iron Warriors led entire divisions of tanks and war machines across the befouled plains, until the macro-transporter Eagle's Talon plunged to the surface and ended a million lives in a heartbeat. Stranded upon some unnamed, toxic battlefield that now resembles nothing more than a graveyard of Titans, Warsmith Koparnos knows that he has precious little time left - will he find salvation amidst the dead god-machines, or quickly succumb to violent madness?
Written by David Annandale.

Hey there Heresy fans,
Set your calendars, because the next four Horus Heresy novel releases have just been announced.
Feat your eyes on the new artwork previews:
The Khan, Malcador, Kurze, the Lion and Emperor himself all make an appearance.
Went on to say they will still have novellas, shorts etc coming as well.
...so these do appear to be novels.

Novel-length, but that in at War and Shadow W are anthologies totalling up to 400 pages. The numbered books are the main line of books, so not novellas or audio drama or short reads by themselves.

Yep, the tie-in novels were really hit & miss even compared with BL's normal bolterporn baseline output, although some of the AdMech ones were a pleasant surprise. I suppose that's inevitable when you give an author a brief that directs them to write glowing descriptions of the miniature every few paragraphs rather than to just write a good story featuring the faction/system being released.
As for this four novels in four months thing for the Heresy; well gak the bed. I'm genuinely surprised, like most folk I thought "year of Heresy" was code for "year of dozens of overpriced microstories and moist-novelettes", so this is brilliant. Christ I don't think even one of those is an anthology of reprints of reprints of audiobook scripts of short stories originally sold as limited-edition novellas Good show gents, now give us the new Bequin and Gaunt novels and all(well, most ) will be forgiven.

Just to throw this out again back in November 20 of us met in Nottingham for convention sucundes and this was in place of the black library weekender which did not happen. Authors an editor were there and they explained that they held a lot of the heresy stuff when betrayal at Calth was to come out and so 2016 is a year of heresy with new products coming out and also all that was held from last year and the words exactly were "all your paychecks are belong to us." Yeah, some of it is collected stories buy we are doing quite well so far.

I'm kind of concerned about the trend towards ever shorter books being passed off as 'novels', and sold for full price. I'll use the recent 'Beast Arises' series as an example. This is not a complaint over quality; the series has been pretty good through the three books released so far, other than some of the flaws you would expect in a series of books done by a committee of authors.
But they are just over 200 pages, and priced at $16 (as ebooks, the current going rate for 'novels' from Black Library in this format). Not too many years ago, that barely would have been considered a novella. And what passes as a novella today is barely a short story....I think the series could easily have been 6 books instead of 12. I think it maybe reflects GW's desire to stretch as little as much as they can here. Again, I've liked the books so far. But it does not seem there was as much 'meat' on them as there could/should have been. Especially at the full $16 price.

Launch title in The Horus Heresy: Primarchs series, a brand new sequence of novels from Black Library.
Long before the coming of the Imperium, the realm of Ultramar was ruled by Roboute Guilliman, the last Battle King of Macragge. Even after learning of his true heritage as a primarch son of the Emperor of Mankind, he strove to expand his domain as efficiently and benevolently as possible, with the XIII Legion Ultramarines as his alone to command. Now, facing a rival empire on the ork-held world of Thoas, Guilliman must choose his weapons carefully – otherwise his dream of a brighter future could be lost forever.
and via Black Librarium (fansite) on Twitter
Amazon blurb for The Path of Heaven:
"For too long had the Vth Legion ranged out beyond the sight of the wider Imperium, remaining ignorant of the Warmaster’s rebellion and the war that inevitably followed. Only once their primarch, Jaghatai Khan, had satisfied himself that the path before them was just and true did the White Scars choose a side, taking the fight to the traitors on every front. But, four years later, the Legion’s unfettered spirit has been broken by relentless attritional warfare against the Death Guard and the Emperor’s Children – the Khan’s Stormseers must find a clear route to Terra if they are to take part in the final, apocalyptic battle."
The Silent War:
"Anthology of tales about the secret missions that underpin the entire Horus Heresy series.
While loyalist and traitor forces clash on a thousand battlefields across the galaxy, a very different kind of war is being fought in the shadows. Rogal Dorn and his Legion prepare to defend the Solar System against the armies of Warmaster Horus, even as Malcador the Sigillite charges his many agents and spies with missions of the utmost secrecy. The future of the Imperium is being shaped by unseen hands... This Horus Heresy anthology contains fourteen stories by some of Black Library's top authors, including James Swallow, Chris Wraight, Anthony Reynolds and many more."
Angels of Caliban
"Two infamous Space Marine Primarch rivals clash for the final time.
With the Dark Angels spread across a hundred systems, primarch Lion El’Jonson stands as Lord Protector of Ultramar – though his true motives are known to few indeed, and old rivalries on the home world threaten to tear the Legion in half. But when word comes of the Night Lords’ attack on Sotha, the Lion’s brutal actions bring Imperium Secundus once again to the brink of civil war. Not even the most fearsome warriors of the Dreadwing, nor any arcane secret of the Order, can guarantee victory if he sets himself against his loyal brothers."
