Still not finished, but painting is getting there, bell looks better, and bonus plague furnace! Sorry about the lighting, I'll probably update them tomorrow for better quality.

Nice conversion there! A good example that sometimes less is more.

I've finally started to make a move with my Overlords, which you can see here. It's very early days yet but I'm hoping to make them worthy of the high standards seen here in this thread.

In the Warp, getting trolled by Tactical_Spam, AKA TZEENTCH INCARNATE

Finished up my counts-as Screaming Skull Catapult for my Death army:

If you're wondering why it's covered in all these strange, rat-like scribblings, know that this mighty war machine was shamelessly stolen from the Kingdom of the Broken Chains' armoury by the insidious Skaven not long after the Kingdom's undead inhabitants slipped into their centuries-long slumber. After his re-awakening in the present era, the King set to reclaim all that once belonged to him, and thus hunted down the descendants of the Skaven thieves, taking back his war machines after a short but unnervingly brutal skirmish.

It was most definitely not a consequence of my haste to get this model finished.

Obviously.

Jokes aside, I had a lot of fun painting this thing, although it was a bit more difficult than I had anticipated. Originally, I was going to stick it on a square base to match the rest of the army, but it just looked so much better on the oval base it came with, so I went with that one instead

Holy Terra.

That is an awesome rendition of my favourite AoS unit (I have been known to run 5+ of them in small games) Great work!

I too am working on a Kharadron army, did some minor conversion work on my skyvessels to show battle damage & repairs. This is from the Ironclad (there is a crewman who goes on the end of the support and will be repairing the damage, with the improvised blast shield offering him some protection). The detail is a bit fuzzy because phone camera, but the green stuff around the edges of the blast shield 'base' is sculpted to look like welding.

I've been working on these since right before their battletome was released, but I've finally (just about) finished my Mournfang Riders:

Oooh, looks promising. As for my progress on the overlord fleet that I've started working on since late may, most of the assembly is already done, missing a ship or two but most of the crew is accounted for. Only the color scheme is amiss, but I was thinking of olive jumpsuits, with brass armor similar to Barak-zilfin

Sweet army conversion! The cygor takes the cake for me, the bag with the stones alongside the other conversions really pushes the model above the original kit.

Been working on my Sylvaneth army, the Seelie Court. I'm going for a Spring them. Here's a quick sample of what I've done so far:

Treelord Ancient

A simple Branchwraith conversion kitbashed from a Branchwych and some Spite Revenant bits.

2000 Khorne Bloodbound (Skullfiend Tribe- Aqshy)
1000 Tzeentch Arcanites (Pyrofane Cult - Hysh) in progress

Preacher of the Emperor

So I've got a few league games under my belt (We've moved into the tournament stage now.) and I'm comfortable again with AoS in general and the way this army plays in particular. Some things I agonized about picking ended up being shockingly effective, to the point where I don't think I'll take the treelord ancient as anything other than this (so far) unkillable tank build that's served me so well.

Beyond that, I finally got them primed. I decided to try a zenithal progression from black to grey to white using the spray cans. And overall I'm satisfied with the results, though they're a bit inconsistent between the smaller models I did in a larger batch and the larger models that got more individual attention. It's a good starting point though, and I'll be careful to keep my paints thin.

I'm more and more convinced I want to do the branchwych again. That said, propping her up on a balewind vortex with a silverwood circlet has been amazing. This magic rock concert has been neutering dangerous threats while they've been in combat with my dryads line, blocked enemies from getting to objectives, and, memorably, once wiped out an entire trebuchet crew after it almost killed her before she got to put it up. I kind of expect they'll increase its points because holy gak, but don't ever let them change it's effects.

Still keeping my hand in with AoS! I've properly started my Freeguild force now - not as good as Bottle's (whose is, eh?), but they stand ready to defend Sigmar's cities...

And a General to lead them:

Just got to work on a large unit of Guard, a small unit of Greatswords, then adding some Ironweld goodness in the shape of a Volley Gun and Steam Tank...

Yeah I have to say it isnt quite up to Bottle quality. The highlighting of the sand isnt quite as distinct and the only adornment is grass tufts as opposed to a mix of grass, mushrooms, stones, etc. And it suffers from the same issue of the scarecrows or clowns or humanoids or whatever on top obscuring the view.

I know you were joking but the image of gun-armed scarecrows set-up as a deadly decoy by the Ironweld is a epic image.

Whelp, now I got a future project for my boxes of handgunners and wanderer nature bits.

Not sure if their background is they're rebels from Greywater siding with the angry Sylvaneth or Ironwelders using slain Sylvies as "Woodenweld troops".

Thanks! Every model in my force (only 9-strong right now) has a bare head, other than a lone Prosecutor which is stock, and a Lord Relictor that has a Retributor head which will have the facemask painted flesh to look like it's an open-faced helm. Tried to have each face fit with the model's posture, to give them all a unique character.

It's probably a bit of a slap in the face to those who hate that Space Marine sergeants always end up in combat without a helmet, lol.

I never see the fuss about not wearing helmets. You're talking about a universe with magic and tearing holes in space and you want to focus on why Sergeant #57 isn't wearing a helmet? More character can be portrayed in a face than any helmet could.

If you can't believe in yourself, believe in me! Believe in the Dakka who believes in you!
