Shot glass 3/4 full of Kahlúa and then Baileys poured carefully on top to fill the glass

I think I left my only shot glass in storage though so I will have to improvise.

I did not want to keep posting with no actual painty related updates as that seemed poor form.. or something. I don't know, it felt bad so I didn't do it :( But thats it now, finally back. Everything done, shopping visits and final furniture finished/assembled in that order, and back painting as of NOW. Yay!

Someone expressed interest in my painting desk, so here it is.

This is one of those littel €50 pc desks homeware stores sell, but it really does the job! It has all my paints, my compressor, my packaging nonsense, some boxes for boxy goodness, washes and also Pokemon on the top cause WHY NOT, and room for WIP mini's! I think it was a great buy

On the desk you can see a little black blob, that black blob is an Orky pilot man. He is being painted right now, for reals! Well not right now as I am typing, but right after this! The space wolves in the shelves have super cool weapons of intense sillyness, and I am starting on their furs. These guys love their fur.. it is a bit non PC in my opinion.

Also included on the right there, is what I believe is likely to be the most amazing thing I own. As a bonus, here he is.



This is Strong Superman. He has a red LED in his chest and a button on his back. He is the best superhero of all time. Check out all his friends! Batman, Power rangers, he is ballin.

It says he is special, and he really is. He has a little black web you can see between his feet and he can hold it in his hand for no reason.

He cost €1 and is MINT IN BOX. I am not currently taking offers, I am going to let him up in value for a few more years and then sell him and retire.

Sorry to hear about your Paddy's day Iffy. We made up for it. Wife made your most excellent coddle, had a little slice of themed cake for desert... and Guinness. Family is watching "The Quiet Man" as I type (which is our long-standing St. Patrick's Day ritual) so we've made a whole weekend out of it!

That wouldn't happen to by MY ork fly-boy would it??


On a side note: Have you had a chance to use the Vallejo air primers yet? They're fantastic. You'll never go back to the can again.

I have not actually. I've heard really good things, there could well actually be a bottle in the jumble of Vallejo I have in storage, I should totally check it out!

Haha yesss, though it can get quite hectic at times.

Currently replaying FF9, and bought Legacy of Kain Blood omen and Journey on the PSN. Blood Omen was the only LoK game I was never able to play, so being able to download a working copy for €5 is awesome!

Journey is my new zen game. I have never played anything like it. If you have a ps3, get Journey. It is a step in the right direction for games.

Luckily do have ps3! hmm might try that one out, i for one just bought Space Marine, only because i said to myself.. hey you like 40k, your going to have to eventualy.. then comes Dead Island, seems very relaxing

Welcome back and the desk looks very tidy.

I like the desk, and that is the weirdest action figure I have ever seen and most def is a misprint.

One day I can see that same figure making you a substantial amount of moolah!

Plants vs. Zombies has consumed my life on more then one occasion and I now have a fully completed file on my phone, PS3,Tablet,Laptop and Ipod Touch....(I can stop playing when ever I want!)

Haha, it would be fun for the first few weeks, then you would get tired of coming home to find her in pajamas with hair in a giant tangle and makeup smeared all over her face, screaming curse words at the pc. + she would always hog your consoles. I don't think the mini painting would have a downside, bar the insane amount of money it consumes ¬_¬ Ugggh.

I try to keep my stuff as super tidy as possible or I get really frustrated with it really quickly. The paints are all organised by colour and type, and I've since added some names above the washes so I can grab them without standing, which is actually pretty handy. I am planning on buying THIS to fit into the empty slot into the middle and increase my work ethic.

Haha, hes not so much a misprint as the best the Chinese bootleg factory could come up with, but I love him all the same. I collect proper figures, so seeing this guy in a €1 store was too much to pass up.

I know that feeling. I am still working on my steam download version, I am limiting myself to 2 hours a day or I would go even crazier.

To be fair, PvZ is pretty much the best game ever.

And like Cutthroatcure, I also can stop whenever I feel like it!.....Honest, I can.

Back from weekend

Mostly gaming related, couple of movie ones hidden around Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, Beetlejuice, Alien, lots of Final Fantasy stuff, Legacy of Kain, Totoro, game plushes, all those kind of things. The only stuff I have that could be considered rare-ish here are my Vivi and Kain/Raziel neca. They are great conversation starters when people visit anyway!

So I am being enraged by trying to find a spot in the house that has the right lighting for my camera, so far no luck and everything is slightly too dark. I will find it eventually. I think the spot lights in the living room coupled with my lightbox and 2 lamps should be nice, but just to keep things moving are some shots that turned out relatively ok in my search.

Mr Ork pilot man has his skin and metals finished and I'm starting on all the leathers now. May add a few rusty bits on the metals for good measure too.

These are all really poor shots, but I figure its better than no updates S:




Starting the glows on the SW weapons, these are the bases, then Im starting to add runes and glows, they look quite cool but still need more work Doing the furs now, and mr Orks fur too Cream fur and a brown jacket is required for any pilot imo!




Only thing eventful this weekend was my old little Gerbil passing away in her sleep, I'm not remotely sad as she was a good age and thats the best possible way to die in my opinion, so I buried her in a big plant pot and planted some strawberry sprouts in it. Her brother is going to miss her a bit, so I'm going to placate him with extra treats and toys.

Ork is coming along beautifully Iffy. Love the leather handle wraps on the SW too.

I'm loving the ork, especially the skintone. I do quite agree about the pilot's jacket being a necessity, and it looks good on Mr. Ork. (I've actually been thinking of buying such a jacket myself) The SW weapons are a lovely shade of blue and fit perfectly with the rest of the terminators.

I'm also sorry to hear about your gerbil. It's good to hear that she had a happy life and was sent off well.

looking great as usuall Iff, and if you dont mind, what kind of collectibles do you have Dark Crystal and Labyrinth related? never knew there were any

Thanks dudes. Tomorrow is back to painting and I will have Orky updates. Im also going to try using the main table in the house for photos, hopefully that will make a difference.

A chat about painting on a friends wall had me linked into it on facebook, and after a few posts I seem to inadvertently organised a painting night for some friends which should hopefully happen soon.
Paints, beer and pizza, sounds great right? Going to be fun teaching an eager new person how to paint something, haha. I'm looking forward to it.
