Its funny how some people react to the new codex as if a new army was just added to the game.

I noticed looking at the codex that as amazing as the # of attacks Lelith can have, she has no augmentation to her S or damage. She has power weapons that hit at S3 so against Marines on the charge she'll kill 3 marines. Granted she is WS9 with 3++ save in cc but it'll take her forever to kill the squad and one lucky fist wound will do her in.

Drahzar (sp) is 230 pts. He does sound really nasty, probably more so than Lelith against certain units and 5+ incubi, archon and drazhar is a death-star unit for sure; just super spendy unit.

I've built a couple of lists; one with lots of warriors in raiders with some wyches and one with grotesques, wracks and haemoculi.

I look forward to fielding them. It's going to be a fun, very impressive looking army to play and field.

Well it is damn near necromancy, I've met enough people that though dark eldar was going the way of squats .... Now that would be something could you imagine a new Squats codex (did they even have there own codex?)

I liked DE when i started to understand them, they dont look like any other "dark elf" you could find over there, and yet, the ideia of a ancient race who just consider every other living thing as a slave is very familiar...

About Squats: no please, dont ressucite that things, i want space dwarves, but i want them actually ressembling dwarves. I still hope that GW bring a Demirug codex someday, until there i play Space Wolves =D.

tomayto, tomahto (tomato) ... after reading up on them (what little there is) it would be a good way to under line the squat incident as a brother hood that was enveloped by the empire (and later wiped out as the xeno scum they are).

The Webway Portal template sold out about as fast as the Vortex Grenade template version of that little metal dome. It sold out in 12 hours after it was put up for Advance Order yesterday and is no longer available. If you didn't web order it go to your store as soon as it opens on release day and hope for a small splash allocation there. Get there early or miss out again. Fortunately, I Advance Ordered mine.

I got mine yesterday I guess if anything its a collector's item

Get a 3" diameter polystyerne ball for flower arranging or somthing. Paint it funkily and voila!

For what it's worth, a couple of pain tokens gets her furious charge.

As amazing as Lelith sounded at first, I just think the revelation of the other characters sort of eclipsed her. Baron, Urien and the Duke I think will be the most popular. Maybe a splash of Vect here and there.

Thanks for letting everyone know. For those in North America where it already sold out it's not that economical though. I checked and it's £13.93 with tax and shipping for one. With the exchange rate that's about $21.87 US, and that's not counting the small exchange fee your credit card company will charge you. But if you want one badly enough, at least it's a reliable source till those run out of stock too.

New Webway Portal news from GW on today's What's New Today at this link. Unfortunately, there's nothing about allocating more to the North American web store.

STOP PRESS: The Dark Eldar Webway Portal has now sold out on the web in the US (it's only been on sale for 48hours!). If you're in Europe or Australia I'd suggest ordering one now before it's too late for you too.

Btw, does anyone else think lelith may have some issues standing up on a non flat surface?

Possibly and her feet are small so it might be hard to pin her down (rawr!)

I was hoping her legs would be attached to that bit but im guessing not after taking another look :(

Lelith's model is great, though the base is a tad too specific for me (i'll be fixing that).

Her rules seem to be such a complete epic fail, that i'll probably end up using the model as a Succubus .

She's mainly best against foes of t3. e.g eldar and sisters of battle. However as someone pointed our once she has furious charge from her tokens her first turn will be at s4. Shes also technically got feel no pain aswell due to pain tokens. Personally i think I'll field her with wyches to give her abit more security and for her to unleash her potential. :-)

It says they ship them plenty in advance but I didn't realise it was that early...

They are offically out in 13 days..

I honestly expect mine to arrive two weeks from today/tomorrow. I'm excited! Lost of toys to build and play with.

I just ordered the dex ... it will be interesting to know when it arrives.

Still it will take time to plan, buy assemble and paint an army so meanwhile I will haz my tauz

I think she'd look okay standing on a flat surface, if you reverse the orientation of that front knife. I think it would pass for a "slashing someone with her knife" stance instead of a "balancing on a pole" stance.

At the very end of Jes' interview in november's white dwarf, he mentions what the future could hold for dark ekdar;

a little more from the wych cults, including a venom with wyches hanging on the sides, and the heamonculi side of things.

Nothing specific (except he mentions the venom with passengers) and no specific date.

Not a bad idea! However I just mean't whether or not she'd topple over when placed upon a surface that isnt entirely flat. E.g the pole she is standing on would seem to suggets that alot of weight is on that side of the model. If she was stood up on a surface (for instance a mat) would she stand up ok? Sorry
