Glad you got to 2nd place mate. Out of interest what list did your team mate take. The librarian looks great by the way. Your GS skills seem to be improving leaps and bounds. Just so clean!

I've not updated this in a while as most of my time is taken up with commission work and I don't really get much chance to paint up my own models.

However I recently managed to get a free Mephiston model thanks to Gamesworkshop's excellent replacement policy so I thought I would paint him up for my army and here is the result:

No comments, does no one like Mephiston then?

i like him just fine.

I like the bit where he gets smacked up and down the place by anything with a power weapons. I really like that bit...

model wise; imo.... swords too white, needs to look a little less like ice and power like a force/power/jedi sword.

Sorry, mate! Hate it when that happens: you work really hard on a piece, post it to Dakka, and it never gets on anyone's radar.

Overall, I think you did a fantastic job on him. Your technique for power weapons is really cool and, as always, your faces are great! Great attention to detail as well (he has a heck of a lot of gems on him that look splendid!)

Some nitpicky CC:
The base is a bit plain for my taste, especially for a character. I personally would have liked to see him standing on something to give a little authoritative height.

I think red for the syringes wasn't the best choice. They certainly are well painted, but a contrasting color (like medium green and/or blue) would have worked better.

Finally, there is a little blobby imperfection in the white edging of your powersword just below the spiky part. Maybe I can only see it because he's three times larger than life, but it caught my attention (especially since the powersword is a focal point of the model), so I thought I'd mention it.

I hope that wasn't too harsh!

Keep up the great work!

It looks great man, Really like what you have done so far on here. If you put a little blue on the syringes it would help a lot with some contrasting but of course keeping some red to look like there is blood in their.

Time to get the creative juices flowing

All of these models look simply fantastic. I'm just starting off my own BA army, so all of this is really great inspiration and motivation! Absolutely amazing paint jobs thus far, can't wait to see what else you do.
