Thanks for the weblink to you guide! I had my tacticals painted up to stage 2 previously so your stages 3 + 4 were particulary helpful, just need to work on my highlighting skills a bit more before attempting the blazing orange highlights!! thanks again!!!

@niallkissick: Glad he guide helped you! If you've got any more questions about how I paint them feel free to message

Update wise, I've been painting away finished another marine and done some more work on Brother Noctis who is about 50% done now. My girlfriend has also bought me a razorback so I've spent most of the day building that, have magnetized all the weapons and the top part so I can swap it from being a razorback to a rhino and choose which weapons I want. Pictures will follow either tonight or tommorow.

Cheers guys I've been working on some commissions recently so not had a lot of time to work on my Blood Angels I have totally finished magnetizing thee razorback though and have painted one of the side panels.

I have also been thinking about a target to get done for my Blood Angels and was thinking 500 points was a nice goal. This is a list I made for 500 points so I had a plan of what I was going to buy when I get some money.

Go for the battle force then if I we're you, you'll get all your troops plus a scout squad too. although you'll have a rhino rather than a razr you'll still be able to convert it at a later date.

Looking good.

At least with so few models, you'll be less likely to get overwhelmed and end up with "grey army syndrome".

Sorry I've been away for a while, been over to England to sort some stuff out for university. Anyway progress wise I've painted up another Tactical member so I've got five of them sorted now and have started painting the sergeant with combiplasma. I've also finished painting half of the razorback just have to do all the guns. Willl have pictures of them soon.

@Lysenis: I do indeed to commissions, just drop me a pm on here or you can email me directly at alexheap@manx.net looking forward to hearing from you.

One thing that has been taking up most of my time recently though is a Librarian Furioso Dreadnought I've been converting from an AOBR Dreadnought I got on ebay for £8. Here's a picture of where I'm upto atm:

Got quite a lot of it done just have to add some greenstuff here and there and finish the sarcphagus but I'm waiting to get the front part of a terminator to do that. It's also completely magentized and has a few hinges so it can strike lots of poses

Hi there, your army looks nice so far i wish you success with the full army.

Could you make a closer picture of the Dreadnoughts hand (the one holding the sword)? It looks (to me) a little small and maybe thats just because the picture shows it at a bad angle or something.

Cheers

Thanks for the comments guys, the force weapon hand is a bit smaller than the bloodfist but not by alot. The Librarian Furioso listing does state that it has one force weapon and one blood fist so I did this on purpose to show the difference between the two and justify the drop to strength 6 if the bloodfist is destroyed.

Will add more pictures later.

Cheers mate, you should definitely get started on the blood angels they are awesome after all.

Here's what I've done so far today. I've received quite a few bits in the post from people on here and on Warseer as well as from some of my friends and have made my first model using them, a Sanguinary Priest with Jump pack. The jumpack and head are tacked on as I shall paint them seperatly to make it easier and I've just got some mould lines to clean up but this is what he should look like in the end.

Thank you to everyone that has sent me stuff, it's greatly appeciated and I shall get back to painting right away

Glory to the Twelfth! Glory to Angron!

‎"Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls. The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does. That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

Hey everyone, paintings been a bit on the slow side recently mostly because I ran out of black and had to order some more which has taken ages to get here. But that's all sorted now so I can get back to painting.

Here's a picture of my magnetised razorback as it is at the moment.

This side and the other side are just about done as are the tracks but I've got to finish off the front, back and the bottom which shouldn't take too long really as they're well on the way. Will probably post some more pics later when I've got some more of it done.

Cheers guys, the razorback's bottom half is now completely finished and I'm well on the way with the top part. Been a bit slow with uploading pictures but here's another one of the tactical marines that I've finished and I'm working on the lascannon armed marine next.

I've also been thinking of sculpting the chapter and company markings onto the shoulder pads of my minatures instead of using decals so look for updates on that shortly.

I've also recently got some commission work to build and paint a Blood Angels Captain and a 6 man honour guard. So I'll probably post updates on those in this thread aswell when I get started.

Working on a Blood Angels army myself and I'm really digging your progress. My scheme uses darker red with blood red highlights (also a bit more black and gold in the armor), but your technique and attention to detail is inspiring. Gotta bump the thread for you.
