Meh, I find that in our area, there's quite a lot of decent SW builds that are unique and fun. The same can be said for the DE in our area. THing is, when you've got good units, you're going to take them, especially if the other choices arent as good.

I do agree that some SW players are playing just to win, and that the fluff... is a bit weak. But I do really like the SW, just for thier viking-ness, and wolfieness (though it gets a bit out of hand occasionally).

I play my Rage Knights (Angry Marines) As many different codices, to save money. SW is the one I tend to use the most, though.

While I may not agree with your views entirely, I will sav this- You're challenge is a great idea, and hopefully some SW player out there will prove you wrong. If not- who cares? It's just a game with little toy soliders.

As this post was meant for our impending battle and this battle takes place in 3 days how exactly is that Necro'ing when I am confirming my attendance? As a few of you who are unable to do so please keep this in the nature of the challenge. And try to avoid unfare judgements when you are not involved in the final conflict/outcome.

I posted whithin the nature of the discussion as it is very alive in my mind and hopefully Dash's.

The Nova has come and gone - I had back to back lengthy suspensions for the last couple months - the latest over a poorly aconymned joke about 40k LARPing.

Grimwulfe and I had a great game, and Dark Eldar took the day. I also played against Space Wolves several other times during the Invitational (5 in total) taking down Stelek, Hulksmash, and losing in the semi-finals to Tony Kopack's Space Wolves amid a lost roll to go first, trickling reserves, and a horrendous encounter with Njall Stormcaller's ability to literally wreck my entire army in one shot on turn 4-6.

Ya, I watched the whole game. Njall's stormcaller ability was brutal but somehow your wrecked vehicles kept moving. lol! Glad it didnt affect the game though.

Hmm, I'm not sure if 40K LARPing is better or worse than other forms of LARPing. I mean, it's all bad, but there have to be degrees of bad, no?

It was a great game and Dash was a great opponent. I dont remember the second half of the game due to a large amount of beer but it was fun.

When I said "free to post anytime", it was a very liberal definition

You are free to post whenever you want; at which time, you will be promptly suspended for 2 weeks for no reason
