Dis is one of DA BEST Ork story.

back and hungry for fluffy fluff and munchy munch^^

So far the Orks had a very good time of things on the ground. They had been fighting off the occasional raid attack from the Human fleets as they would come in and strike the Ork fleet. or get mauled, but the attacks were a nuisance not a true threat as it was usually a squadron of frigates attacking every couple of days.

Having smashed aside the P.D.F. first line of defense, it was time for the brothers to make more moves. They left the first lines as the grotz picked over the left over equipment and corpses for anything they could find. With all of the vehicles refueled and ready to go, the hordes moved once more, this time they were to find things were a bit different. As they moved over land, they would get some Orks and buggies or bikes picked off by sniper teams, of course that was a distracting thing as that meant someone wanted a fight! So, units would go seek the snipers, only to find that they had left already,,,,.

As they progressed, the vehicles would also come across delays as they found rivers with bridges cut in half by explosives, or the houses and farms would be left burning before they had even arrived, the livestock gone or rotting in the fields. Fuel supply depots or way stations were emptied. Nothing of worth to loot or gather up, it was frustrating to say the least.

Slamming his fist on the roof of the wagon, Magnotz cursed the Oomies that were doing this! "Wot kinda war iz dis? first they stood right proppa an' we krumped 'em good, now they ain't visible, but shoot us, leave nothing to take, and wreck da bridges so dat da grotz an' meks haffta make new ones to cross!" he shouted out to sky, it turned out that Zagnotz was also encountering the same problems, and reports from Secundus and Tertius were the same for the blitz of Gragnotz and Ragnotz. So far, the outer colonies where he had sent Needa-breatha seemed to not have such opposition, that runty gits was taking out relays and depots and towns all over the outer zones, and he did it by hooking up with just about every kind of mob he could, Kommandoes, Boyz, Nobz, fighta bommas bikes, he seemed to be jumping all over the place!

The whole mess did have one effect, the challenge of krumping the humies was building, and that meant they ought to give a better fight when they got to where they were heading!

The bridges for Magnotz' horde were ready, As they headed across roads over there, they were then beset by demo charges collapsing cliff sides on the convoys, making it necessary for more work to be done to clear the smaller messes, or make a way over or around the messes. Some of the areas to go around were booby trapped with mines or other contraptions.

Zagnotz was also suffering as his Warboss brother, his hordes had also been harassed, harried, and hit areas made more dangerous, the effect was that Magnotz and Zagnotz started to use Grotz to clear through areas, this slowed the hordes down. The blitz phase had hit a snag now that the campaign was in full swing.
The Orks were finding out that old human axiom, (the first casualty of a battle is the battle plan)

On Narkutsk Secundus, Gragnotz fired his shoota in rage at the air as he too was delayed and slowed down by the odd tricks of the Humans and their odd defense that gave no fight, it wasn't natural. No right minded Ork had ever seen such a way opf fighting, except the Kommandos,,,,"So, da Oomies is playin' Kommando! tricksy of dem!" Then he added, "I is gonna line d lot of 'em up against a wall and use 'em for target practice!" he vowed to his nobz.

On Narkutsk Tertius, Ragnotz actually took the delays in stride. "Hehehehe! IO knows dat da ovvas iz gotta be feeling dis too! Fer once, I ain't alone in sufferin' !"
Then he added, "Awright! get dem Grotz ta work! I want dem mines cleared right quick! I got ta grease me Choppa blades on oomie blud!"

Making for his next target, Neda-Breatha wheezed as he heard the news. "*wheeze* So, my bruvvas iz having some problems eh? As soon as we get done 'ere, we kin go and 'elp 'em out!" he said with his toothy grin. The irony, the sweet joy of irony! he, the runt of the litter would save the bigger boyz of his brothers, then Magnotz would have to reward him with something speshul!

The orks delays would make it more interesting for when they finally arrived at their intended targets.

ah the old tactics of burnt earth....worked against napoleon and hitler so why not against orkses...i like that....if you start getting smart against orks the get a serious run for their teeth^^

needabreetha has the time of his life to top it even more...splendid action^^

also i think the mood of the qaaagh is sinking now a bit as no looting surley spoils the moods of all orkses...here is hoping that the greenhides have bitten more off than they are able to chew....by the way... do the orks have a similar think like a terminatus?

LOL! Yeah, he got the simpler tasks, and he is cleaning up during all of this.

It will be a combo punch of them biting off more than they thought, and their rage getting fueled by the tactics.

Nah, Orks do not have that concept down, they just move in, loot and fight, and once the place is all dried up, they leave for more fighting out there.

absolutley... and if i might be so straight forward... i think your story is absolutley not straight forward... a definite plus on my take as this sometimes puts me off... i like a good twist in a plot^^

Magnotz was unhappy, his WAAAGH!!! was slowing down. The humies had spread mines and demo charges along the routes that could be traveled in this system on the ground. They were having to wait for the grotz to clear them now, or lose vehicles and boyz before any fighting happened. Ground strikes from Humie aircraft now added to his sour mood, as he had to order the fightas and fighta bommas to intercept these pests rather than soften up targets for the smashing!

"Dat Humie warboss got's no gutz! Instead of fightin'; us right proppa, he has us dealin' wit' dese mines and bombs and burning da place so we got's nuttin' ta have as we get closer ta him!" he raged. "Dat git fights us as if he was a grot!" one of his Nobz said in agreement.
"Den we'll just hafta do something back at 'im fer being so sneaky!" Magnotz replied. Gather up alla da Kommandos, I has a kunnin' plan!"

At the bases of his brothers, word was sent for them to do the same plan, Needa Breatha wanted to go, but he also had to wait until the WarLord called for him, soon he was on his way as Magnotz summoned him and his ladz to Narkutsk Prime.

At the capital, the defense was being discussed with the governor Palitrov by the man conducting the defense plans, Marshall Karmetz. "So governor, I know it pains you to leave burning farms and towns as we consolidate, and that the refugees are cramming your fair city, but this is the best calculation, we leave the Greenskins nothing to build up with, no food or slaves to have either, also, they are encountering elite snipers, minefields and booby traps along the way."

"But Marshall, how does that really help get rid of the greenskins?" Governor Palitrov asked.

"it doesn't, it just allows us to draw them into areas of trapping them, a drawn out fight can actually wear them down, they will loose supplies and their warriors because we intend to burn them out, and destroy pores as we can by burning them. I have all of my strike craft armed with hellfire bombs, I have ordered Leman Russes kitted with Nova cannons and we have squadrons of Hell-hounds, just for this fight to come governor." The Marshall replied.

"But this is a farm world! you can't just loose fire as you see fit!" complained the governor.

The Marshall raised a hand to call for calm. "Governor, what we know of the Orks is that once they infest a planet or a system, is that your world becomes a war world, peace will never return, but the best that can happen is we snuff out this attack and then make sure that if they do spore, that they remain manageable."

The governor was shocked. "You mean they will always be here? how?"

"Worlds attacked by Orks always seem to have primitive orks roaming around months after they were supposedly cleansed, these orks could be managed and culled before they become a real problem. Make no mistake Governor, your world, now that orks have landed will never be the same, ever."

Palitrov sank into a chair as he absorbed that news, his once pristine farming worlds, the mines always and forever battle zones because of the ork life cycle.

Magnotz met with the Kommando leaders, including his runty brother Needa, simultaneously Zagnotz met with the Kommando leaders assigned to his horde, the same with Gragnozt and Ragnotz, all meeting with their respective kommando team leaders, all were informed of Magnotz' plans and what to do, some were to scout ahead to assess the humie ground defenses, others were to hunt down and kill the sniper teams harassing the convoys, others were to locate the enemy air bases and either set beacons, fires, or short out their defensive fields that masked them from being spotted from above.
"We gotta get dis WAAAGH!!! back on track and up ta speed! at least enuff ta get ovva Orks to throng here, make dis a Huge WAAAGH!! and we can move on to more worlds and make all of dis sector green dominated not pinkies or bluies!" to which Magnotz was applauded thunderously.

With that, the Kommandos melted silently away into the dark of Narkutsk night.

i can understand the govenor...poor sod...this will, even when won mean that he has to draw so much energy and material into protecting the planet against a low level buzz of orks forever...darn...and i hope the kommandos won´t be too good on their way...

Kommandos vs Spetznats and Vets!

Time to play dirty!

The next several days on the main worlds of Narkutsk were to see some of the oddest fighting as komandos clashed with snipers teams, Spetznats and their duels of sneaking about, counter fire, and head hunting. Snipers could kill a few Kommandos, but if they lingered too long, the Kommandos could home in on them and catch the teams with counter fire, or worse, flamers.

For the Spetznats and Kommandos, it was a more even duel, skulking/ambushes/brutal close combat, it see-sawed for both sides, but the kommandos were slowly gaining an edge as they did have an advantage over humans as far as their personal needs, endurance and power went.

One of the areas the Humans did well in was sending Veteran "Kill teams" out ott hunt down the Kommandos, with their triple special weapons and honed skills that not even the Spetznats had been exposed to, the veterans would lay all manner of traps, ambushes and melt away, drawing Kommandos further in to more of their special "surprise parties"

It was after defeating a Spetznats light team that Needa and his Kommandos got a break, they captured and modified the Half-track assigned to the team, cutting off the back roof allowed more of the team to cram in, and then they laced a camo net over that. Aircraft had been fooled flying overhead as the machine moved to it's target, the kommandos had a location of a localized, but shielded base, enemy bommas and fightas were launching sorties so they were to blow the shields and allow the Fighta bommas a chance to hit back!

"Awright!" he wheezed, "Now we gonna show all da rest how we iz da best!" He finished, "We leave da trukk 'ere, an' slip in all quiet like, Wheeze, Locate da shield, an' den blow it up all pretty like, an' slip back away, got it?" he asked the Kommandos under him.

"Da uvvas will hafta recognize our skills an' dat we iz da best of all of 'em!" he declared.

Leaving the half-track behind, they slithered, crept, and skulked silently towards the enemy air field, they killed a few guards silently and slipped in. Finding the shield generators, they crept in and planted the charges, mind-full of the humies about the place.

Fightiung the Orky urge to go and fight, the Boyz under Needa-Breatha slipped through the shadows back out of the base and sneaked back to their stolen vehicle as soon as they could. They all smiled as they heard the "Krump-Krump-Krump!" of the charges blowing the generators, now the place could be seen and attacked from above.

They got under way and headed back to Magnotz. The fuel ran dry at that moment and they wound up having to walk back to base.

Magnotz was quite amazed at his runty brother's success, for none of the other kommandos had that level of success, some had done just enough to get the bases seen, some utterly failed to meet the objectives assigned to them.

Magnotz did give him an award for the success.

funny how the fans affected this story so much...^^ needa is quite a recourcefull ork^^... hopefully it will be not a punch that this award is from his chief brother^^

Nah, a punch wouldn't be quite right for being that good at what he did! Needa is a quite Kunning Ork, even for a Blood Axe!

yep that is what i gathered so far...you might even make a swat analysis to go deep researching for a good award...

Each department will have to make their input,,,^^

threefold,... pink flimsys for the marketing... green ones for the producton and blue ones for the acountancies...
