Hi

Nice work on the TT rules.

The Captain Vs Captain twist is a really nice way to handle the Lords of War conundrum.

Unfortunately, the Sons of Shatner can't make it this year due to real life (one member has a new job with no vacation until May; another has a son getting braces and no benefits to cover it) getting in the way. Good luck to everyone!

Cheers,
Nate

Just to make sure and since English is not my native tongue, a team member can take a Knight and the team captain can also take one as a Lord of War. Is that it ?

Albator,

There is a maximum one 1 knight per team. The Cerastus pattern Knights (the FW ones) are only being allowed only as Knights, not LOW.

AdeptiCon Battlezones Buildings Showcase

Mel Bose, the Terrain Tutor akong with our friends over at the Wargamers Consortium have been hard at work coming up with some design options for the massive horde of Deadzone sprues that Mantic has so generously provided to our terrain efforts this year.

Mel put together a series of videos to aid the AdeptiCon terrain efforts. Check them out here and get a little preview of some of the new builds that the AdeptiCon terrain team will be involved with this year.

The AdeptiCon terrain team has a lot on their plate this year. If you are interested in helping out with terrain builds and terrain weekends, get in touch!

Shame no Two-Front doubles this year. My team for the team tournament fell apart last minute and only one could make it.

I make bad decisions and think they are good.

Exterminatus is on Thusday?

Description of the 40k GT says that " Warhammer 40K Classic is on Friday", however the shopping cart has the Classic on Thursday...

Ooh, thanks for that! I reserved for Wednesday night just in case (already booked at the main hotel for Thurs - Sun).

I'm not registering for any events as I am working hard on a product that I hope to launch / reveal at AdeptiCon! So that's one less person for you all to contend with tonight in the mad scramble to get tickets although I am looking forward to seeing you all there at the Con!

I have had a chance to play some games with the Adepticon missions primer and I have a few things to say.

I really like the format and think that overall the adepticon malestrom missions are a good way to play 7th edition 40k.

My main concern is how much time it takes to generate objectives. When added together for both players in a full length game this cost my opponent and I a lot of time. Using the cards will really help save time. Has Adepticon given any thought to selling/providing a deck?

Also, will the tournaments this year have longer rounds to accommodate this extra time? Having to generate new objectives, and re-evaluate the game every turn is very time consuming and I believe the tournament rounds need to be longer than in years past.

@extrenm(54) - Yes, this gives us an excuse to create a sweet custom deck for AdeptiCon 2015. Something we are definitely excited about! As for time, it is always a concern and something that we are looking at for those events that will be using these decks.

I have a couple of questions on Team Tournament rules:

1) It says Forgeoworld is unique and only 0-1 of each type is allowed.

Does that mean A or B implies?

A)for example I could have one unit of thudd guns and one unit of Vultures for example? Or just one unit like a extra heavy slot that is considered a forgeworld slot.

B)For example, If I wanted a Sicarian, I could only have one Sicarian and that is it. I could get any other forgeworld in our team.

2.) It says follow the Detachment under Force organization. Does that mean I can't take another detachment from a source? Such as Unleashed Great wolf or the great company for the spacewolf source, even if I could follow the force organization chart? Or does that mean, this is our detachment and this is what we have to stay in but can add the unique upgrades to the right to give it a little more flavor?

Wanting to basically understand if special detachments could get played is why.

Thanks

So are we entering Team info later? Our team tournament ticket grabber didn't see where to input info last past years.

Otherwise we're going to be there and I've got my VIG and Champs.

Darkwynn,

1.) In the Team Tournament every FW unit is considered unique but players may include multiple different FW units in their lists as long as they have the points and slots available. However, if one player takes a unit of Thud Guns then no other player on that team may take another unit of Thud Guns.

2.) The Team Tournament detachment is the only legal detachment for the Team Tournament. Rules for other codex detachments are not allowed this year, even if you could mirror the TT force org chart. The major exception is that one player may "add" a formation (not codex detachment) to the slots presented and gain the additional rules for that formation as long as it fits into the points of the Team Tournament.

Regards,

Chris

@Hulksmash - Yes, we are going to do event data collection as a separate process. We wanted to limit the amount of required data that folks had to enter given the time sensitive nature of registration. That and a lot of the time the information entered, changed or was "unknown".

Lol Remedy . It was great being on a team with you, krootman and Ketara last year! Hulk warned me, but you really are the best sportsman I've ever seen playing 40K! Was really a pleasure . It looks like krootman has a team, do you as well?

For myself, I'll be focusing on getting my product ready to reveal at AdeptiCon . So, no events for now, just the VIG badge... not sure if that makes it easier to snag a late night event later if there's room in the schedule? Regardless, really looking forward to this, it is the highlight of my wargaming year whenever I'm able to make it! And this will be my third in four years

Awesome, and I will take you up on that . Let's exchange phone #s closer to the event - last year a bunch of us used an app called GroupMe to coordinate our movements / meeting up times and places, and it worked really well!
