What's the heaviest model you can play in a game of 40k or WHFB? Greasus Goldtooth is the bulkiest I've ever found.

All in all, fact is that Warhammer 40K has never been as balanced as it is now, and codex releases have never been as interesting as they are now (new units and vehicles and tons of new special rules/strategies each release -- not just the same old crap with a few changes in statlines and points costs).

Landraider crusader as the heaviest? Monolith as the bulkiest?

All the old 2nd ed tanks are pretty heavy as they typically have metal turrets and sponsons.

The heaviest model that I own is probably the old metal Space Marine Dreadnought.
It can be handy for resolving rules arguments *WHACK*.

Heaviest, chaos dreadnought, or the two headed chaos dragon its white metal, or one of the old school 3rd edition steam tanks mmmmmmmm solid hunk of lead.

Bulkiest would be a poorly made defilers, though monolith is close.

Bloodthirster is pretty heavy, I assume lord of change/keeper of secrets would be similar although I've never owned one. + old warhammer giant is a beast aswell.

Heaviest - the old Wood Elf Treeman was a solid lump of metal or the metal dreadnoughts.

Bulkiest - Monolith, the old Ork Battle Wagon was quite bulky if memory serves correctly - especially when loaded with Orks.

The Exorcist has a lot of pewter on it. It certainly rivals any all pewter dreadnaught.

It's absolutely got to the the Chicken Dragon.

http://www.solegends.com/citboxes/citmpdragon.htm

They are extremely rare though, a mint in box model is worth up to £2K IIRC.

But for mor normal stuff, well when they were still using lead, the Space Marine Dreadnaut, Warhammer Dragons or Warhammer Giant must have been up there.

And for this actualy moment? Well I suppose the LOTR Smaug is quite heavy.

The original Greater Daemons are the size of Ogryns. I have the improved WFB5 Keeper of Secrets, and it's spindly and lightweight.

The Empire Steam Tank, mk.2 is a beast.

That thing literally weighs 2 pounds.

He said every time he puts it on the table the landing gear pop off because of the weight.
I am glad I have the fw one still thinking what I am going to use as a flying stand thinking 2" thick black oak some 1" pipe and flanges and a cradle for the body.
Need to find the center of gravity on the hull.
Don't know if he has the flying stand for it have to ask.

Well I have bloodthirster and it's anything but spindly and lightweight and much bigger than an ogryn. The keeper of secrets came out a lot later than the other three as I remember. It's also possible the metals have changed since the mid nineties when I got it (like the plastics have).

Saying that I just had a look to see and the old warhammer giants are heavier than it + they're heavier than an old sm metal dread (which I assume will be similar to the chaos one which people have mentioned in this thread.)

edit: just tried out my old slann mage priest model, must be made of lead or something cause it's half the size of the giant but is well weighty.

I'd say the old metal thunderhawk is almost definantly up there somewhere, as for models still in production I'd make a guess that the heaviest/bulkiest might actually be greasus, or maybe the thirster?

This is just for completions sake. What a BEAST!

'The Manta is by far the largest model that Games Workshop has ever produced, and by a long way too! The Manta measures 630mm/25 inches long and has a wingspan of 860mm/34 inches! Weighing in at 12.5 kilos/28 pounds, it weighs six times as much as a Thunderhawk Gunship, and that is before we put all the tanks and Battlesuits inside.'

Which would make the undisputed winner the old Metal Thunderhawk. It's larger and weighs more than the old metal Emperor Dragon(the one where you had to make the membranes yourself).
