Now i wanna know will this be effective against my friends drop podding SM army which has:
Pedro kantor
3x 10man tactical
3x 5man sternguard
and a possible dreadnought
all with drop pods
maybe some scouts or something is there too

Well fortunately for your army your opponent doesnt look like hes bringing and vehicles (drop-pods excluded) so you may just scrape by with your servere lack of anti-tank.

When his first wave of pods come down, if your opponent knows what hes doing, your defilers will be popped by anti-tank weapons (melta guns most likely) and your DPs will be downed by rapid firing sternguard (wounding on 2+). Then with your army more or less gutted, you may get of a charge with your guys, get a charge with your berzerkers, they foes of which will lose combat, break, regroup and then shoot you again.

Defilers, with their very large profile, are extremely vulnerable to DSing melta guns. It would be better to bring obliterators for the same cost.

Giving your plague marines and CSM rhinos each would help shield them from turn 1 short ranged fire and give your DPs something to hide behind when you castle your forces. You can get these extra points from dropping the predator. Chaos preds arent nearly as good as what else is in the codex.

Since you will then have some points left over you may also want to change the CSM squad for some noise marines with sonic blasters. You will get much more firepower out of them and they are also much better in combat than SM.

At 1500, 2 princes is a bit expensive for HQ. I now take 1 prince and love it. It is black legion, so you don't need a mark. DP wings warp time is fine.

Swap each defiler for 2 obliterators. Drop the predator and add a squad of noise marines with a pw champ and 6 sonic blasters in a rhino. Any remaining points can buff your squads.

Castle up and hide your oblits and prince. After his rapid fire drop assault, rapid fire on him with your pm, flame him or plasma him with your oblits, and hit him with your noise marines. Assault the remains with your berserkers and prince.

Take the MoT on the prince for the 4+ Invuln, not for the extra power. Doombolt is a waste. IoK on the CSM is really a waste too, might as well take 'zerkers or just leave it IoCG. I hate your heavy set up, but I guess the Defilers are ok.

It would be a good idea to put a PF on your berzerkers instead of that PW, in case you run into dreads/wraithlords, etc. You also do have a pretty severe lack of antitank. I would suggest dropping the HB form the CSM squad (along with the MoK) in favor of a second melta. The points difference from losing an MoK could buy you a PF for those zerks. As suggested, the noise marines instead of the pred would be a pretty good idea, or, if you are attached to the Defilers, keep them and get 2xOblits with the points you are spending on the pred. Of course, you'll have to find the other 15 points somewhere.

The point of taking CSM with MoK is to take Meltaguns who can melee, at which point they don't need a PF. Power sword will do on them. Zerkers need a PF desperately though. CSM still aren't shock troops. Think about what roll they need to fill and focus them on it.

Instead of giving the Rhino Extra Armor, grab a Combi-melt. Extra Armor sounds nice, but it only works against 17% of the results that may occur. The Combi-melt gives your transport a brutal sting, but like a bee, it will die shortly after.

Also, arm the pred with Autocannon and Lascannon sponsons. It's cheaper with a higher anti-tank damage potential. I'd also try to fit Lascannons on your Defilers.

The MoT DP should have WoC with WT or nothing.
The 10 CSMs need a transport, drop the HB and MoK.
Xtra Armor not necessary.
Pred needs either Autocannon/HBs or drop it for Oblits.
