Alright FW, the new chaos stuff is indeed hot sex. The slaughterer wins, but the drones and kr0n DP are pretty sweet too. A pity that VRAKSIII is only Red & Green, but I'm totally impressed so far.

You figure these drones are the Nurgle demon engines? I'm thinking no, there's gotta be a plague tower or some huge noxious soup thrower in there somewhere.

Well I was expecting a chaos reaver sooner or later but like this... Gawdgawdgawd.

The ork conversion kits are nice, especially the trukk conversion kit. Thats how a trukk is supposed to look. The only thing I find fault with the battlewagon big gun is that it looks like it could blow someting up at 120" range, and not that laughable 24".

The khorne stuff sure is impressive, the deamon prince has everything that the khorne deamons cool (the new ones like the bloodcrushers) just some 7 journeys more awesome.

the plague drones are nice, but they look kind of plain. I am not all that impressed really. Might be because it is such a new and surprising release to me.

All in all, If I was an adult living alone, I am pretty much sure I would soon get poorer.

Does that killkannon mean GW isn't producing the Battlewagon add-on kit either? I notice no one asked.

Sweet looking stuff, I'm excited for the new Ork Clan figures, but WHY or WHY do they have to be FW Resin?!?! All of these things would be joygasm worthly in plastic. Now they just cause me pain since I now I'll never be able to afford them.

Those are way cool. Especially the Nurgle Drones. That Slaughterer looks like it was built by some sort of Chaos-tainted Xenos race, just like the Brass Scorpion. I wish they would actually put out some Chaos Xenos.

Been and seen them all today and I can confirm that the WIP pieces are amazing, maybe thought that there would be something more awe inspiring.

I was there, but unfortunately was merrily driving along, and realised I'd forgot the camera Here's some stuff I picked up......

ORKS
The Ork Flakk Trukk is complete, model was there and looks well nice, should be released within the next 4 weeks.
The Orks will get a custom Trukk Kit. This will allow you to make 1 hugely converted Trukk, or 3 converted ones. Basically, comes with new wheels & running gear, new Cab / engine, new flat bed at the back. So you could use all the parts on 1 Trukk, or 3 Seperate ones.
Super Kill Kannon - They are in the process of looking at weapon fits for the plastic battlewagon. The completed one we saw was the Super Kill Kannon (think Basalisk on the back of the Battlewagon). Other options, all for the battlewagon kit that are still in the design phase (and the pics were there to proove it) A Super Lifta Droppa kit, Pulsa / Snottling Rokkit (huge rokkit that is either the pulsa or carries snotlings accross the table).
Generally, Orks are going to be Forgeworlds new push.

CHAOS
Finnaly, I've only been waiting years. . . . . . The Deamon of Tnzeetch for 999pts will be ready 3 - 4th quarter this year. The guy who works for Weta in New Zeland has almost finished the model. No pics though.
Khorne Herald was there, along with the Slaughter Fiends (a cross between a Warjack and Brass Scorpion). I've ordered 2 of these, so they should be on the Forgeworld site soon.

I love them blight drones. But I'm convinced I've seen the idea somewhere else in the past in, obviously, an "un-Nurgle-afiled" version. Any Dakkaites have any idea what the inspiration might have been (I'm looking at you Anime!) and, better yet, does anyone know if there's a kit?

The forge world redesign of the visual concept of khorne is tremendous. The sleeker, more predatory and powerful daemons along with the matrixlike daemon machines are amazing. Seeing them shy away from giant helmets and silly dog heads is nice. The nurgle blight drone is great too. Looks like someone mashed together a giant fly out of pestilent oil barrels.

obviously, an "un-Nurgle-afiled" version.

They are superficially similar to the vtol designs in the command and conquer tiberium wars series.

The slaughterer looks like a korned up and huge cryxian warjack. Not that I'm complaining.

I'm not too hot on the nurgle drones, they just look so unlike anything else in 40k.

And here's hoping the trukk conversion kits aren't as god awefully priced as the nob biker kits.

It's not that small, but for what it costs you'd think it would have been much bigger. It's just ridiculously pricey for what you get in my opinion, but that's GW.

Blood Slaughterer is cool. Trukk Things are nice (I hope they make the Pulsa Rokkit one!!!). That Daemon Prince is pure awesomesauce - must buy that one - and I'm not too hot on the Nurgle HK Drones. The HK Drone rules are also junk - 125 points for Plegm and Vomit on a BS2 AV12/11/10 platform when the Vendetta is +5 points for all the crap it gets? It's insulting, and typical for FW rules - overcosted and underpowered.

And then there's the Vult and Vendy kits. I knew they could make a Vult from the new plastic Valk - take wings and tail, make a new middle bit. The amount of people who said it's "too different" to make one must feel pretty silly now. It looks fine to me, and with wing-mounted Punisher Gatlings Guns it wounds great. As for the Vendy, well, I still debate that the damn thing shouldn't exist in the first place (should just be more weapon options for the now-useless Valk), but hey, at least the model exists now.

With any luck FW will sell the Vendy conversion kits as separate kits. I don't want to have go buy whole Valks from them, not when I can get them for cheap at Maelstrom.
