You could make their helmets or shoulder pads different colors. Which god does your army follow if any? Do they carry an Icon?

Arch Magos w/ 4 Meg of RAM

Chosen are one step down from a Lord just like Champ Terminators are one step down from a Terminator Lord, and Nobs are a step down from Warbosses. Model them as such. These guys are in decorated armor with dynamic poses and special weapons.

Hi - abbadon is the Leader of the Black Legion, so undivided. Arhiman is boss of Tzeentch.
But I run an undivided army, and using the 'gold silver and black colour scheme, I use more gold - so not just the trim, but also the whole helmet or backpack. I model on trophy poles and also use wargear.

Easy way might be to go with differing shoulderpads, use the regular plastics for grunt marine, and splurge to get Chapter Shoulderpads for the rest... Alternately make prolific use of the champion bits from the regular squads..

Champion and Possessed bits are your friends here. Possessed have some of the best bodies, jumping legs and Power Weapon/Fist limbs. Since you are running Black Legion (apparently, whatever...) you can use any of the Champion heads to show which God they are gaining favor with.

Indeed the old CSM codex (well 4th edition one) has a rather impressive picture of Abbadons Chosen.
They have different heads one is a Sorceror (Ymegathar) I think he has a thousand sons esque head one has a insectoid looking leering face another a standard looking horned helm.
Sprues are your friends the new CSM plastics are the balls dude.

Well on my chosen, ive used the backpacks from posessed, and the heads with plumes on, and done there armour trim diferent from the rest of the army
