so... it looks like the hurricane bolters fit over the doors on the front.. rulewise, i don't see it in the BA codex but it sure looks like adding the hurricane bolters *should* disallow you to exit from the two side front doors. anyone see any other place to put them?

I'll be looking forward to seeing it, as I'm curious how it will be priced. It's an ugly bird, but at heart I love birds, and especially the ugly ones... so maybe. I think it could be made better with some tweaking, perhaps.
All I see right now up for order is some Ultramarines stuff. Good for them - GWS has ignored the marines in general and Ultramarines in specific for far too long, glad to see them finally getting some love.

And after you unleash the troops? Well, you can just blast chunks out their tanks and monsters with Bloodstrike Missiles until there's nothing left to blow up.

That'd be my version.

A new flying unit, and quite fittingly for SM players its a shortbus. A squat, ugly little shortbus. I guess they used up all their good designs on DE and decided that SM players wouldn't care as long as they were nice and cheesy and had articles about killing a million billion people per day with space marine powers.

I really find the "OMG check out how Space Marines this thing is" look of the official kit is just silly. It is built in an incredibly in-aerodynamic way, i.e. the under surface area will create more drag than the over surface area, and the whole mess of pockets and corners on the cabin are just ugly. They really look to me like the designer was trying really hard to make it look like a land raider, but the remembered that it had to fly, so tried to fix it at the last minute.
Actually a Land Raider is more aerodynamic than the Storm Raven.

while i agree that the storm raven is an ugly bird, i'm not sure about that last part. here's the uncredited (sorry, i didn't save the html address) pic i found yesterday comparing the two.

Be VERY careful when making those types of comments.
In fact, don't make them at all.
