^ Also the first time we get the front already built into the torso.
The Black Reach dread has that too of course, but all of the regular plastic kits give us several choices. I consider this a minor disappointment, but nothing that can't be converted/fixed.
I can't see the first picture in the thread's opening post at work, so I'm not sure what else is on the other sprue.

Looks like the Force Weapon is indeed bajonet like and not "hand"-held (unfortunately).

Really? Becuase I seem to recall two releases, namely Blood angels and Space wolves that have some strange orgaizations and power to them......hasnt stopped GW there.

It took me a bit to find out where you actually found that statement.
Out of context, it looks kinda silly.
My response was to this:
I'd just love to see Dark Angel players get their Ravenwing armies back, sans a mandatory Special Character
I've not seen the Blood Angels 'dex in detail, but the Space Wolves codex does require special characters to do that "strange organization" and the power associated with them.
That is the issue.
Plus: Special Character "themed" armies are all the rage!

Great news, I am really looking forward to seeing what they unleash for the BA, I am hoping there are a few surprises beyond the Furioso and SR, and also really curious to see more of the options for building both -
Thanks CL

This is truly fantastic news! I probably won't rush to get the SR (only because I don't use them in my lists at the moment) but I definitely want a few of these dreads.

I just saw these on warseer, like it or not ( i do like it btw ) you cant argue that the frame gives some good options for kit bashing, especially with orks, just think of the orky pod racers and jet bikes you could make with the engines

Access ramps and hatches look interchangable with the Space Marine plastic/ FW line.
Its nearly free of specific markings so it should be easy to spread it like the LRC...

Makes me wonder if they will open it up to all chapters, or just keep it BA/ GK only.
Any sign of any GK-specific weapons?

It wouldn't surprise me if they made a big noise about it being BA / GK exclusive for a few months to try and push sales of the GK codex.
Once the sales of that have tailed off, there'll be a website / WD special announcing the release of the STC to all other loyalist Chapters.
And after that, Huron or Abaddon or someone will get their hands on one, reverse-engineer it and - hey presto! - Chaos Storm Ravens!

Interesting the imperial eagle us all over it, is it just me or does it look like the ba icons were placed to cover the imperial eagle in some instances... Good indication that everyone gets one down the line...

I'm hoping they won't give this to all Marine armies, actually. For one thing, I don't think it'd be fair to Blood Angels players to have their unique toy diluted like that, and I don't think Codex Marines need any more ways of getting quickly into the fray, so the model does not fill a tactical gap (for GK I'd argue it does, since they don't have drop pods for their line infantry, or Scouts infiltrating teleport homers).

Agreed!
Begone, those who wish everything genericized! Hooray for uniqueness!

Or they could just be interchangeable. The Blood Angels do use the standard Imperial iconography alongside of their own unique stuff, just like the Ultramarines and Dark Angels and pretty much every Chapter.

Given that GW is trying to make money, it is a pretty safe bet that all Marines will have this vehicle sooner (Flyers supplement?) or later (6th edition Marine codex).
