I'm both orderly and rational. I value control, information, and order. I love structure and hierarchy, and will actively use whatever power or knowledge I have to maintain it. At best, I am lawful and insightful; at worst, I am bureaucratic and tyrannical.

By way of Beasts of War: painted Forgefather for Warpath:

I have to admit, while the whole "beards in space" deal is a little off-putting to me, I do like the details. I actually like the proportions rather more then GW's space marines... I could easily see using these to make a Space Marine army, depending on what the other weapons look like.

Doesnt look.....half bad actually. I require more pics of more minis though! I dont really want to buy any forgefathers, meh. Cant fit them in any of my collections

I'm not blown away, but I don't dislike it either. I think it bodes well for the future of the line.

That's what I thought when I saw it on the other thread. Besides, SM's in game arent' nearly as heroic as the fluff would suggest. Squats might be a better match for the current SM stats.

I like it. I hope they have some with actual beards because as it stands I'm not thinking "space dwarf" so much as stubby robot. I'm not a big Mantic fan but I'm crossing my fingers over this one.

In the interest of being comprehensive, I figure I might as well shamelessly swipe the alternate paint scheme that scarletsquig posted in the other thread "(courtesy of max jet on warseer)";

WOW! Looks pretty sick, actually! I'd get a squad, assuming they have several poses.

It's been my experience with Mantic that their models (elves aside) look notably better in person and well painted than online.

The elves are a little off no matter what you do, unfortuantly.

Was a tad underwhelmed when i first saw him, but he's growing on me a little. I like the photoshopped one much better than the original. Have they said what other armies they plan to launch with? or will it just be dwarves at first and then adding others later on? I liked the sketches I saw for their human army

Basically I need to see Moar!

There is a little promise here mind, and although I have not been interested in their fantasy stuff, at all. Their Sci-fi range might hook me in.

I always felt GW's early stuff was dominated by a much more interesting and nicer looking 40K range. Maybe Sci-fi stuff is easier on the eye?

Looks good to me.

I wonder if this will be a static pose model or a line of interchangeable multi-part models?

I look forward to some neat 'counts as' armies with these. This might be the first mantic product I might buy.

Mantic have really nailed this one on the head with a resounding thump. As someone who is currently making a imperial guard themed squat force I couldn't fit these in with my current theme. That said it wouldn't stop me from getting a small force to proxy as inquisitors and sending them to war with my EXO armoured troopers.

Dislexic please be gentle. Space dwarves rock !!!!

What separate parts does this have?

Are Legs and torso separate or combined? Head swappable?

Not too surprising, mantic is usually very limited on their poses

Which works fine for fantasy, but will be interesting to see how it translates into sci-fi.

This heavy weapon model will be one of their resin plastic models, since it's a more elite unit.

The basic forgefather troops will be plastic and should have a bit more kitbash potential.

The weapon that the model is holding is a "heat-cannon".. so either a meltagun or multi-melta equivalent.

The photoshopping does make this look better, but now I see this closer up I'm not too taken with the beak-beards (are they still looking for people to name this stuff, I think I'm on to a winner ).

Why the discussion about this news have ben moved for here? Oh well...

Here we go, now my pace Dwarves (not squats) count as marines army will be real... it look amazing (without the golem studios paiting).

Really, the guy from golem studios seens to paint very well, at least he use tecniques i wanted to know, but he never work properly on the colors. WHY blue and gold? It Would look aweome in the red/orange/brass colors from the fantasy dwarves...

If my post show some BAD spelling issues, please forgive-me, english is not my natural language, and i never received formal education on it...
My take on Demiurgs (enjoy the reading):
