Now, I don't expect to get around to working on this, but I think it'd be really awesome to see a Word Bearers traitor guard being led by a Dark Apostle (Iron Hands). The question is, what do they look like? What model can I base them off?

I'd also appreciate any other random ideas to include in this hypothetical army.

Well you could look at the covers of the BL word bearers books that's what i did the traditional paint scheme with lots of spikey bits images of daemon faces skulls, partchment, and scroll work on their armor For my Dark Apostle I was going to tale the terminator lor kit and give him dual lightlning claws and the tusked terminator helmet then cover him with the previously mentioned things but that's just me again check out the book covers and character descriptions. and I'm kind of confused what you meant by "Dark Apostle (Iron Hands)" ?

By that I meant using Iron Hands Straken as a counts-as Dark Apostle.

oh ok sry thought you meant Iron Hands sm chapter and was like wait what, well in that case It wouldn't really be a Dark Apostle of the word bearers per say but I see what your going for and would go with a chaos marauder model bulked out with catachan or ork arms with the stuff I mentioned before
