well i figured i would start out my fledgling project here
Khorne Orks with blood red skin that glistens and shines in the sunlight
in other words i just want a excuse to do more chaos
so i need advice on armour and cloth for these guys and pics coming soon

Brass 'Ard Boys. 2 Maxxed out mobs of Nobs. You have 3 troop choices there. Uhh, Khornite Killakans. 9 Brass monsters with Grotzukas. Uhhh, more mobs of tattered cloth and tattered brass gear slugga boyz. Then more Nob Mobs. You get the idea.

EDIT: I do think this is a bad idea BTW. Fluff Nazis like me won't react well on the table unless it is complete.

You mean sunburned right... that is why they are all pissy as well.

For Fluff i was useing a line from the O&G fantasy book that said that there have been orks and goblins corrupted by chaos

Also in the 40k world one of the bosses disappeared into the warp to never be heard from again so as a Ork 40k player you could said he made it back now.

I've done a few Khorne Orks recently. My advice is to add (more) spikes and an excessive amount of close combat weapons.

Just take an Ork, and dip the whole model in a blood red paint pool. PRESTO! its a Khorne Ork lol

I think that since Goffs are the most close combat oriented clan,a mix of khorne & Goff colors would work well.
Not to mention it just seems "fluffy" that of all the Orkz "chosen" by the Blood god it would be a bunch of choppy Goffs.

Goffs are the most popular of the ork clans, red skinned orks have been around for a LONG time.

Doesnt seem like stalking to me...

I would personally just paint the ork green then dip him in red. That gives him a red hue without him looking ridiculous.

my plan is to give them bases with the mark of khorne painted in blood on them
mainly only chains weapons (first test mini coming tonight)
no long ranged orks at all
only CC boyz,cc nobs, Killa Kans, Deff Dreads and a super choppy warboss
so pics coming in about 4 hours

Sorry for the double post
but i have decided that red ork skin is not the way to go about this
so its going to be blood drenched orks instead

For fresh blood use a 50/50 mix of baal red wash and blood red paint

the wash thins it, makes it gloss and thins it whereas the blood red makes it opaque.
