I bought an AOBR set to boost my space marine army and noticed the marines were all snap together. My question is, are the marines in battleforce sets on "kit" sprues like AOBR or do the battleforces just include a lot of regular boxed troops?

AoBR is the only kit like that to my knowledge, aside from the 3 man marine boxes (and the 5 man Guard one, 4 man ork one etc.). The Battleforces are just the regular kits piled into a bigger box.

I've gotten a Chaos Battleforce with a pack less bases than it needed. Night, stop stealing my stuff.

I got 4 extra bases in one of my guard ones... Lucky, as I had 4 tank crew bodies I'm using as plasma gunners due to lack of bodies and cash to buy said bodies at the time of doing it.

I collect:
Guard - 2k of mostly infantry
DA - 2k of deathwing, 2k of other bits (no vehicles)
Sisters - mostly converted/proxy because I'm waiting for therange to go plastic.
Tau - 2k with no riptides because I can.

Since we're asking questions about battleforce sets... Which one gets you the most bang for your buck?

I looked at Tyranids, which seems to be an impressing $55 of savings... vs. the ork battleforce, which to me says "meh". I know the Imperial Guard one isn't too bad, and neither is the Space Marine set...

Thoughts?

Yeah... Tyranid is a great buy and the Ravenwing Set is also pretty nice. There was a link on here somewhere that listed all the prices versus actual value for each box.

EDIT: Found it.

They mention it in the article, so you might want to double check things after the pricing changes.
