the Psychic hood forces the opposing psycher to make a leadership test to to potentially negate psychic powers. If a Weirdboy is in a mob of boyz >12, does the mob rule make a psychic hood null/void or does the Weirdboy still make a leadership test off his unmodified leadership of 7 ?

Because all Characteristics are capped at a maximum of 10 (or 2+ for saves). The only exception to this is Attacks.

So pg 10 Ork Codex "Ork mobs may always choose to substitute the number of Orks in the mob for their normal leadership". Your saying this is capped at 10? That doesn't make sense. I would think it would specifically state in the Mob Rule description if there were a cap.

It doesn't have to, because it is in the rulebook. The mob rule does not say you can ignore that cap, so you cannot.
Page 6 BRB:
For all models except vehicles these characteristics are given a value on a scale of 0 to 10 - the higher, the better (except for a model's Armour Save, where the opposite is true l).
However no modifier may raise any characteristic above 10 or lower it below 0. Saves can at best be modified to 2+

Hmm. I do see your point of the rule book stating a cap of 10, thank you. But I dont know... I mean it doesn't fit that an Ork mob of 30 strong flee if they lost 8 in a shooting phase. Ooops, 11+ their fearless.

It is also in the GW FAQ if that means anything to you. Q. Can a Weirdboy’s Leadership be increased to more than 10 by the Mob Rule? A. No, it can be increased, but only up to a maximum of 10.

How is that relevant? He is testing on his own leadership, just in this case he has a special rule that changes his leadership. He is not using another models Ld at all, he is using his own, which happens to be 10.

It says in the Weirdboy's own entry that he may use the Mob Rule to increase his leadership for psychic tests.
|
Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it. |
