Cheers Git's Its nice to be back I've missed all my friends on here, we shall see what I can come up with, I just hope my painting is still upto the same standards as it was!

Yorkright wrote: Welcome back Gir, I have missed my weekly dose of topiary and samurai.

Thanks I have no idea whats going to come up, I was looking at all my models that are in my undercoated box, man so many are broken in bad places resin does not travel well with metal thats for sure!

I dont dare check my painted stuff some of it was just dumped into a box as I didnt have anything to put them in :(

Cheers looking forward to a return of sorts, don't think I'l be doing the army thing again anytime soon.

Here's the new sword on my Sister, you know I don't think I'll get it done for the painting comp, don't want to rush her and spoil it for myself. So I'll continue working on the model in the background on the right

Thanks I've been wanting to paint her for ages but had no reason as she didn't fit into any current game system.

I've based her for Age of Sigmar nd it should be pretty generic for other skirmish games!

Thanks DR H, it feels good although I seem to have less time now days to paint but we shall see,

I have a very large back log of minis I found out when packing everything up

Theres quite a few I've seen over the last few months that look cool as well like the Necromunda Eschers and theres a few Infinity minis and Batman ones. Darkoath and Morathi from AoS looks cool as well. Is there anything else thats really cool thats come out in the last 10 months thats worth considering?

Also the new colorshift paints from Green Stuff World look very cool but expensive!

Wow it’s nearly been two years since I last visited my painting area. Yesterday I woke with the determination to start painting again, no idea why!

So I have stirred my painting has been cleaned up and he dust shovelled off, it really was that bad!

I too a look at what was left on the table from two years ago a collection of Mierce monsters, some batman minis, my goodness they look so small now! There’s a Sister of Battle and an Imperial Assassin. I’ve not looked at any thing else as it’s all still in boxes from when I moved and I do t want to see the damage!

Today I started to paint as I say it’s been nearly two years so I’m rather rusty. I decided to start on the Assassin probed the easiest of the miniatures, here’s a little WIP, I’m actually quite surprised that all the paints I’ve checked so far are still ok’

Yeah I have a long way to go to be back on form! Albeit this wAs taken on my phone I had to dig my camera out of storage as well so that’s currently on charge although it might not help much!

So there we have it I took a year off to rebuild my self and last year I was out and about going to loads of music gigs all over the country. Progress will be really slow at first as I’ve got lots of gigs planned for the first half of this year but then the painting will start to make a come back after that, I’ve really missed my falls family!

Welcome back to the drug that is painting mini's.

I do very much like the new sculpts on the Assassins, although that plait must be a serious impediment.....

Woot Woot I've finished my first mini in two years!

Really happy to finish this young lass, it's going to take a while to get back my painting skills but that's life!

Speaking of life with the current world in disarray I thought I would have loads of time to crack down and paint some minis, but this was not going to be as I work in a hospital so for me life continues as normal.

So here we have the Callidus Assassin

I also started on something a bit easier today a Death Guard Sorcerer that was in my primed box,

Stay safe everyone and stay home!

Sorceror is looking great. The torquisey green cloth sets off the rest of the dirty model. Without it, I think it would look a bit bland and samey, but with it, top notch.

That’s a cool scheme. Really is a “natural” take in the horror that would be Nurgle devotees. Really like it.
