Thanks they are really nice, I was going to go with the book scheme and do the mount black but carried away with the bone colour and remembered afterwards

The only reason is because I have to get them all painted by June for a tournament, I don't normally paint this quick!

Thanks

Yeah I felt it was a bit light on skeletons as well! I really like the Darklands skeletons, the sculpts are excellent and they are metal as well. If I had the choice and funds I'd just use Darklands skeletons.

Not had much chance to work on my undead horde recently due to real life issues again, one day my life will be back to normal!!!

I did get my supply drop though and have a ton of skeletons all still in their boxes though!

My estimate is that I'm a week behind schedule now, fun times....

Lots of goodness to be held

Hopefully I can get some of these guys assembled today, depends what happens as I'm off to see Katatonia (band) tonight.

I did manage to squeeze this guy out at some point last week, I didn't have any undead primed so just picked something out of my primed box.

This is a Wastrel from Malifaux

Quite a nice mini, the pic didn't come out too well but never mind!

Looks like my back log of minis to paint..

Pretty sure you will get those skeletons done in time, if you can paint up a skull catapult in a day a few skeles will be a drop in the bucket.

Wastrel looks good, your colors are bright and vibrant, I have a question though what did you use for the base? I like that sandy look.

I wish that was my backlog

The base was Vallejo sandy paste with a bit of cork painted up, I use sand paste on nearly all my bases!

-----------------------------------

Nothing painted to show this week but I do have all those skeletons assembled !

This is them waiting to be primed, with a few Sisters keeping an eye on them, to make sure they all go through the cleansing primer!

Theres one skeleton left that needs to be finished but he requires a GS whip so will be the last model for the army that I do as I hate using GS!.

So yep you will be seeing lots of skeletons over the rest of the month, they are GW ones so don't have many cloths on so should be quicker to paint, theres just a lot of them

The sisters are going to be for a Shadow War KIll Team my next project I think to be finished by July, the Infinity stuff just isnt going to happen, I seem to end up buying stuff and never using it!

Well so much for going on a painting spree, life has been rather poor again lately and I couldn't face painting again

But and there is a big but I managed to get a bit of mojo back last Sunday and a few evenings during the week and managed to bash out 44 more skeletons, painting line from hell they seemed like they would never end

This leaves me with a skull catapult, 6 crew, Krell and a skeleton dude I need to convert to have a whip to be done by the 24th, seems like loads of time but it all depends if I loose my mojo again or not. I will crack on today and see what I can accomplish!

The never ending dead!

Hopefully I might have something to show tomorrow!!!

You are smashing it. They look great for what seems like little effort so that is a huge plus. I can sympathise with the mojo waning. But hopefully you can keep going and be ready to get these bad boys on the table top.

It's going to look stunning all arrayed for battle.

Looking good! That model is an absolute mess to assemble (coming from someone who assembled the old metal bloodthirster - twice), hope it'll stay together!

Your getting everything done so quickly, keep the mojo going! RL can get in the way but I have found getting back into the hobby helps with the stress.

Will do Yeah its good when you get into painting puts you in your own little world

And Krell is finished whoop whoop, one more model to go! I've decided to source a whip instead of going through the stress of making my own

All my pics look a bit rubbish at the moment not sure why that is.

Such an awesome model. I think he has turned out rather well. There does seem to be a slight out of focus on these photos. Maybe check your camera hasn't chosen to enter a manual/auto setting you don't normally use.

Wow so its been 6 months since my last post! As you might have expected life hasn't quite gone to plan to say the least!

I split up with my partner after 19 years and moved out at the start of December.I'm in a much better place now at a friends, but that does mean I've gone from a house to a room to keep all my stuff!!!

So yeah I've been really busy but haven't had the chance to pick up my brush, I have a paint area all setup ready to go when I feel the mojo and have the time to start again. Haven't checked all my boxes of models for damages from moving too scared to do that at present

I've been keeping my eye on your blogs so haven't missed anything from that side. I've seen a lot of cool models been released as well over the last few months the new Great Unclean one looks awesome.

If you remember from when I last posted I was painting a Death army for a tournament, the good news is I completed it on time but I never went, life took a turn at that point which I haven't regretted.

So a bit of a recap from 2017 I wasn't expecting I had done much in the 6 months I was painting but I didn't do that bad I don't think.

So here we go

First up were some models for the Batman Miniature game

A squad of Nurgle Raptors, I also one a best painted award for my Death Guard army at a tournament

Back to Batman with Killer Croc

Some skeletons

Half of the Malifaux starter

Elspeth Von Draken from Forgeworld

Some Black Knights for Age of Sigmar

More skeletons

A screaming skull catapult

Neferata, Mortarch of Blood

More skeletons!!!

A Wastrel from Malifaux

Even more skeletons

My second Screaming skull catapult with both crews

And then there was Krell

Plus the last skeleton who was needed to complete the army who's picture must still be on my camera, he must be a bit shy!

I think I did ok considering I've missed half a year.

Not sure whats in store this year if anything, I really hope I can edge back into it but I'm not rushing it, seen some really nice pearlescent paints by Greenstuff World, really want to get those bad boys

There's probably tons of new cool models that I've missed as well, I don't think I'll be going to any tournaments in the near future although I will probably still add to the armies I already have.

There is a cool model on my painting area all primed ready to go so when the time is right she will adorn some paint!

Nice recap of the year. I especially like the Death Guard Raptors. The color pattern is disgusting rot and the conversions illustrate the concept of mutated chaos.
