So the space marine codex says, for most of the units that are able, that they may take a power sword. There seems to be no functional difference between different types of power weapons - axes, swords, staffs. (Power fists and force weapons are of course different). I also seem to remember reading a FAQ or Errata that said that all readings of "power sword" in the codex should be changed to "power weapon." Is this true? Could I use a power axe in place of a power sword, out of curiousity?

Power sword -- Power weapon, there is no functional difference.

How you model it is completely up to you: they could have axes or swords as long as they dont look like powerfists etc.

Correct. Even if it was called a power sword, you could just claim "counts as". Power Axes are awesome

As long as you're not taking a "power gauntlet" or something, you're fine with pretty much any weapon.

Use your imagination!

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.

As a long-time sufferer of voice immodulation disorder, I find that comment highly offensive.

How dare you.

After checking to ensure that the shirt would properly cover my girth, I walked from my trailer to Wal-mart with the shirt on and was immediately approached by women. The women knew from the wolves on my shirt that I, like a wolf, am a mysterious loner who knows how to 'howl at the moon' from time to time (if you catch my drift!). The women that approached me wanted to know if I would be their boyfriend and/or give them money for something they called mehth. I told them no, because they didn't have enough teeth, and frankly a man with a wolf-shirt shouldn't settle for the first thing that comes to him.

I arrived at Wal-mart, mounted my courtesy-scooter (walking is such a drag!) sitting side saddle so that my wolves would show. While I was browsing tube socks, I could hear aroused asthmatic breathing behind me. I turned around to see a slightly sweaty dream in sweatpants and flip-flops standing there. She told me she liked the wolves on my shirt, I told her I wanted to howl at her moon. She offered me a swig from her mountain dew, and I drove my scooter, with her shuffling along side out the door and into the rest of our lives. Thank you wolf shirt.

Pros: Fits my girthy frame, has wolves on it, attracts women
Cons: Only 3 wolves (could probably use a few more on the 'guns'), cannot see wolves when sitting with arms crossed, wolves would have been better if they glowed in the dark.

its scalding hot?

A few of my grey knights are modeled holding hammers... I just count them as power weapons, because nemesis weapons can take any shape, and I figure a hammer is as good as any other.

It's not a good idea to model your GKT with Hammers unless you are having them use Thunder Hammers instead. This would get quite confusing for WYSIWYG.

Oh ok. Yea NFW can be basically anything at all. I'm currently reading through the Grey Knight Omnibus and it has every kind of weapon as a NFW. Power weapons I'd think are the exact some way.

Power Sporks ftw!

When you aren't killing stuff you can grab a quick bite to eat (just make sure you turn the power field off first)

--The whole concept of government granted and government regulated 'permits' and the accompanying government mandate for government approved firearms 'training' prior to being blessed by government with the privilege to carry arms in a government approved and regulated manner, flies directly in the face of the fundamental right to keep and bear arms.
