Not to disrespect the OP, but would it be a good idea to have a stickied "The Upcoming Release Schedule, As We Know It" topic that updates when we find these things out, so that we don't have to have new release schedule questions every week?
Well, whilst reading another post 'Railguns' came up with the popular idea of creating a release schedule for all to look at and for people to update when they know something relevant. So, as no-one else decided to make aforementioned release schedule post I figured I'd do it, so here it is:
So basically update this post when you know extra information about the release schedule...
thanks...
here is the release schedule as I know it (after gathering info off the response's in the thread - I'm being "most convenient" by doing this apparently so...). I will try to update this when ever I remember etc. (probably weekly or less!)
- IG Heroes, Sept, then:
- Space Wolves, Oct, then:
- Skaven, Nov, then:
- Tyranids, January
strong likely-hood of:
-Beasts of Chaos, Q1 2010
-Necrons, Q1 2011
-Blood Angels, 2010
-Dark Eldar, 2009/2010

As I write this I also have a separate window/tab with an article on the games-workshop site by Adam Troke, who is talking about the new Skaven coming out in november so...
the article says:
This November, the Skaven are being set loose, with a 112-page army book packed full of detailed background, lavish artwork and all the rules you'll need to unleash the Skaven on the battlefield. Of course, there's also a dazzling array of fantastic new miniatures on their way too, including stunning multi-part plastic kits and finely detailed metal miniatures.

Box of 20 clanrats/slaves.
Box of 20 plastic stormvermin
New Doomwheel model
New Plague Furnace/screaming bell/war machine kit
Few odd metal characters-- sniktch ( sp ?) gets a new mini.
Beasts of chaos ARE after Skaven fantasy wise. I'd think that people shouldn't have too many beefs with stuff planned for that hopefully.

Blood angels rumor was fueled by Space Hulk. But i do think it will be the next space marine codex, and since GW like to release a space marine codex about every year, then BA is the one thats needs to most help.

Blood Angels, Black Templars and Grey Knights are all rumoured to be currently in development (on the Marine front). I would suggest Grey Knights of Blood Angels are probably both before Black Templars, but the rumours swing closer to Blood Angels (sadly).

The current BA codex is a cheap joke that GW made. And ultramarines with shrike dont have dante or mephiston or corbulo or tycho or lamartes or death company or furioso or ball pred of assault squads as troops........or or or or or or or or. Space wolves make the BA codex useless...

Necron are also in the works. They were started after Grey Knights, but before Black Templars/Blood Angels. That does not mean the release will go in that order --- some armies need more work than others --- but they are on the way. Necron will be late 2010, at the earliest; first half of 2011 is a more realistic estimate. Sisters are also known to be in the works, and they were started before Grey Knights, but there has been less said about them than any of the others.

Dark eldar so need a new codex. Not that their units are poor but they could do with abit more background info like the other races imo. New units would be a bonus aswell (just for diversity). A new nid codex would be cool but if i had to choose between which would be released i'd select dark eldar because the poor souls need abit of a pickup. I mean, they must be feeling left out!
