Well... finally got that off my chest, whew.
Maybe with Chaos Wave 2?
Oh, wait minute ...

Are you telling me it is not happening now!!! If so I am writing at least 100 letters to pester them, starting a petition, and going on a hunger strike to protest the taunting injustice. Well... probably not, but I would if this were not just a hobby, probably fortunate I have much larger things to worry about.

Based on comments made by the GW Studio earlier this year and given the trend of the past two years, it seems likely there will be at least another large kit or two coming in 2010 for Apocalypse, but there have been no good hints or leaks as to what specifically those might be, just speculation so far. The only thing even close to a meaty rumor is talk of a plastic Trygon. Whether that's real or not, personally, I'm hoping for more than that later in the year after Tyranids, something physically larger, regardless of which army it might be for.

Well, the top two pics have been Warhound & Thunderhawk for quite some time, with the Eldar Scorpion / Cobra as a dark horse.

From a market stand point a Warhound would be for the win... but from the stand point of representing each army is a characteristic way it falls flat. Warhounds are effectively the super heavies of a portion of the Imperiums forces that aren't represented in the game, adeptus titanicus. Its only slightly better than if GW had decided to do an Ork Submarine instead of a Stompa. It'd be really cool, but it doesn't fit in any sort of meaningful way.
Thunderhawks for all the different Space Marines is the most straight forward and would cover the most forces; Chaos, Space Marines, Dark Angel, Blood Angel, Space Wolves, Black Templars, Grey Knights, and Sisters of Battles.... and thats before any "konversions" or Inquisitorial requisition for Guard. That would only leave the need for Eldar, Dark Eldar, Tau, Daemons, and Necrons; less than half of the armies.

As much as I'd like a plastic Warhound or Thunderhawk, I think that Eldar and Nids need to get some loving first. Cobra superheavy and Trygon ftw?

While I think the Trygon is a great addition, I cannont help but feel they'd be short changed. The Imperium gets a baneblade almost 5 or 6 times larger (by volume) than a Leman Russ... but Nids only get a trygon, which fits on the same base as and is similar in size to Carnifex. If Nid's can get a real gargantuan creature like a heirodule, exocrine, haruspex, or malefactor as different variants of one big model, I think it'd be more significant.
For Eldar, I really think something like a Nightwing or Revenant would be more appropriate than a Eldar attempt at a baneblade.
